A few pages back, there was a guy that said he’s friends with some people up there. Said the road isn’t public and is closed.
Hey UNC Rubicon, cool of you for not giving me grief for not catching earlier post...ironically, I've been looking online...but not on this forum...go figure, right? Bummer on it no longer being open as it looked like a fun run.

I know there are some forest/gravel roads with some views, which would be good to see, but do you know of any other options (as you know, I'm running stock and our family isn't quite ready for more advanced stuff)? I saw Brown Mountain., but I've not been...how tough is Trail 1 & 8?

Thanks!

I've never been so this only second hand knowledge and take it with a grain of salt, however from hearing people talk about it I don't believe it is open, or at least supposed to be accessed.
Thank you Alacon01 for the insight...I don't mind grey areas, but going with my girls, we probably need not cross the line. I hit UNC Rubicon up on other options, please let me know if you have any thoughts/input.

At the end, maybe we'll bug out a day early from the Boone area and hit the bunny trails at Uwharrie again :)

Have a good one!

If you've got an hour to spare and just looking for a place to test out new parts or a stress relief drive to nowhere, head to these coordinates: 36.0674126, -80.1855806

This is a sewer line maintenance trail just off 311. The coordinates are for the entrance in Waughtown.

Hi all!

Reidsville NC here. Found mine in Danville with Manual Windows and door locks and a 6 speed manual transmission! Just like I wanted!

Went to Uwharrie a couple weekends ago and did Wolf Den and another moderate trail . Handled great!

Where in Reidsville are you? My dad and I own 80 acres off Grooms Road. We do most of our hunting up there.

Fiddlers Creek? I've been there with mine, great driving although I didn't go into the creek itself.

Edit: I input those coordinates on google maps.... that is exactly where I took my profile photo!!!
Fiddlers creek is just down the road, less muddy but good (also tight quarters) trails there.

Honestly, man... I have no idea what it's called. Lol. I've been going out there for a long time and never even thought to see which creek it was. There's one spot where you can cross the creek and climb a small hill. One of my pics shows my buddies JK trying to make it... His KM2's let him down. Of course, they've got 40k miles on them now and haven't been rotated in a year because he's a dumbass, so no surprise. Lol. It was a good time either way. 10 minutes from the house and a good place to test new parts.

I checked the coordinates and I've been down that way in My Jeep. good place to fling some mud, Send me a DM the next time you want to head that way. I've been wanting to head deeper into those woods but didn't want to go off by myself with no recovery plan.

I can absolutely do that. I'm always looking for more people to wheel around with.

Thanks. I've been wanting to go out with someone, but the only other off roader I knew was fired and left town the day before I bought my Jeeps so i've had nobody since, lol.
