I am actually starting to like the look with doors and windows off.
Looks like a safari vechile to me for some reason.
Same here.

The one touch top is appealing to me, because while I like the idea of having a hardtop in the winter and a soft top for the summer, there's one thing I really don't like about the soft top. I don't like the trunk/cargo access when the soft top is up. Where with the hardtop and one touch top, you can swing the glass up and out of the way, you can't do that with the soft top.

Check Bestop hybrid soft-top for the JK (soft top with honeycomb corner structure and glass rear window) and then wait for the JL.

But their hybrid top means you can't collapse the full roof like a traditional soft-top.

I like the Sky One-Touch Power Top for the added security. The soft top is slightly better security than leaving the top off.

I believe you take off all parts including the rear window but yes the structure remains in place.

That is the best photo so far with doors off and the top open. But it is hard too tell from this angle.
I bet it would look great with half doors. Jeep, sell the sliding top with half doors, and figure out how to make the rear window removable.

Question about this top (and if it’s already been asked and answered somewhere, I apologize for missing it )...

Does this top have the ability to be opened partially? As in, can I have it only pull back to exposed the front seats, a la the freedom top front panels? Then hold the button down again to have it retract the rest of the way?

Yes, the power top can be partially opened or closed as desired.

Have you owners noticed you have the top up and down more frequently?

Absolutely, it's 48 degrees and sunny today in the Chicago area. Making lots of stops today doing errands. With my old jeep I'd never put the top down in this scenario, but now I can push a button, roll down the windows, and have it locked and secured in seconds whenever I make a stop. Game changer for me.

I really like the look of these!

Owners: What's your opinion on using these during winter months? Any concern with bearing the weight of snow? Going to switch to a different top for snowy months?

It is very sturdy. It would easily handle a couple of feet. I used to work in the roof trusses design business and we got into calculating snow loads. When you think about it, an ice concentration is far heavier.
Convertible tops typically fail from UV damage or poor alignment when they are in their stowed position.
