You got that one right! "You mean they made a 2 door JL?"First & foremost, check JL unicorn availability for what you want. That’ll definitely reorganize your list.![]()

A lot will be for looks, with the occasional off road trip thrown in. Not a whole lot of options here in NYC (closest are Rausch Creek and Northeast Offroad), but I do plan on using all the goodies at some point.Depends on what you plan to do with your Jeep. Off road or do you want it to look good?
No kidding! (Tires are for sure made for a jl).First & foremost, check JL unicorn availability for what you want. That’ll definitely reorganize your list.![]()

Well it is and old vehicle, its the same vehicle essentially they designed for 2007.Ok...if I’m being honest, I must say Jezebel’s headlights seem crisper & brighter than Vida’s. The long trip home I had in the dark a couple months ago confirmed that I’m getting the headlights I want as soon as they’re out. Cost be damned! And the reverse lights on Jezebel are waaaaay better! Hands down. I feel like Vida’s barely shed much light & it seems to be all on the ground, what little there is. Jezebel’s light up the ground, to the sides & the whole fence as I’m backing up! Vida has the safety package with the LEDs in the back, but honestly I tap the break to use the red LED ring in the tire as the light to see with. *sigh* Bestest says he’ll check it out while we’re there.
The gas mileage in this JK sucks. Of course it doesn’t show what it is, but I’ve done 25 miles, 22 of that driving her home on back roads, and she’s used more than 1/8 already. Seems like a gulper compared to my sweet girl.
The doors flop around flacidly. Yup. I said it. Cuz they annoy the shit out of me. Lol. They don’t stay in place at all. Even the dollies were complaining last night.
It’s an automatic, like Vida, but it feels so clunky! Maybe it’s all in my head or maybe it’s just that it’s different, but for only being one production year older, this thing feels like an old vehicle.
I miss my girl & can’t wait to pick her up tonight!![]()
Most of this stuff I've seen in the wild. Either in person, or for sale on Quadratec, or elsewhere here in the forum. The biggest questionable items are the Rubicon bumpers - not sure if they're available outside getting them on a Rubicon.First & foremost, check JL unicorn availability for what you want. Duly noted and appreciated. A-pillar lights definitely fall into this category. But the aesthetics (to me) of the extra lights in front of the grill add a lot to the overall look.Just my .02, I don't see any reason for all those lights. LED lights sound fine, but I don't see you needing the hardcore offroad lights at this point in time. The rest of the list looks pretty good to me.
From what I've seen, rubicon bumpers are just too damn pricey unless you can find someone getting rid of theirs for less than a million bucks. Is there a reason you don't like the aftermarket models? Most of this stuff I've seen in the wild. Either in person, or for sale on Quadratec, or elsewhere here in the forum. None have really caught my eye yet. I would entertain options of course. From what I've seen, rubicon bumpers are just too damn pricey unless you can find someone getting rid of theirs for less than a million bucks. Is there a reason you don't like the aftermarket models?

I'm sure there will be more coming to market. ARB I think is one that I've yet to see. There's one other name that escapes me at the moment. no surprise thereNone have really caught my eye yet. I would entertain options of course.
I'm new to this whole modding thing, which is why I asked my most trusted Jeeple advisers for pointers.![]()
Full disclosure, I'm new to modding too. This is the first Jeep I've actually done any real mods to. So far, just the CAI.None have really caught my eye yet. I would entertain options of course.

https://[Banned Site]/showthread.ph...DRILL-NO-CUT-Overhead-CB-Radio-Mount-WRITE-UPHeya Jeeples! Let's play a game called Spend Chris's Money!
So, as mentioned before, I got myself a bit of a windfall...looking for mod suggestions. Budget is ~$2k-$2500:
What should I get?
-Tires (say ~$1k) + Tazer JL
-Rubicon Steel Bumpers
-CB setup ($200 +/-)
-Mopar 7" Aux lights & bull bar (Alternatively, KC Hi Lites or similar)
-Mopar 5" Aux lights & A-pillar brackets (again, could use non-Mopar brands)
-Fender mounted LED lights
-Rock Rails/Sliders (hide that pinch seam!)
-CAI
-MF Axleback
Ideally, I'd get all of that in one shot, but that is not feasible at the moment, because money. Help me prioritize!![]()
That link doesn't seem to work, Jake. "banned site", that can't be good.
