It's all in the gearing methinks...the JKs had Pentastars too. ;)
And man what an improvement it made over the 3.8! The JK I test drove had the 3.8 and 4 speed... It was very meh as far as driving around town. The drop top and 4WD was the appeal to me, but my Dakota would have kept pace or even passed it.

Grilling is not my strong suit, truth be told. I don't have one to practice on :(. Or a place to put one, for that matter. :headbang:

I feel like I could do some steaks or burgers and dogs. Sausages too.
Perhaps
In the future you can change that ;) I grill all the time :) Make sure the steaks are at room temperature when you grill them...and the grill is not too high.

I read in that Dalton Highway article that the JL tops out at around 97 mph due to wind resistance...Maybe Steve could give us a quick report?
I was cruising at 80 and 2k RPM today so... Bulllshiiiit

I had the opportunity to drive a 3.8/4spd JK as a loaner when I had to get recall work done on my Grand Cherokee. Pretty much iced my desire for a Wrangler at the time.

My vantage point at the Jeep Jamboree in Uwharrie, NC. I'm manning the Jeep games tent. It's hotter than satan's ass crack today. Later the contestants actually register and sign up up for the trails they want to do. Only 4 other JL's so far.

I test drove a Commander with the Hemi shortly after the 3.8 Wrangler and it blew that wrangler right out of my list of considered vehicles...

Honestly to this day I still don't know why we didn't go ahead and get that Commander... 3 row seating, power moonroof up front and a second row split moonroof. 360 Hp and the same/better mileage as the wrangler... better price...

That is nearly all cooking in a nutshell. The thing I have learned from the last few pan-sear steaks I've done is just how fast the suckers will cook. 3 minutes a side max in a cast iron pan = glorious. :involve:

Indeed, I long for the day where I can grill with reckless abandon!
