Could you remove a wheel and measure the wheel’s backspacing?

Remember the axles are 1.5" wider per side. So if the backspacing is 6" it's like having a 4.5" backspacing. I can't wait too start modding a JL. Very much looking forward to it.

The OEM backspacing measuring request it for comparison to an aftermarket wheel’s backspacing. This will determine how much farther, desired, an aftermarket wheel will protrude beyond the OEM design.

How did you set it up auto or manual? and how does it drive? is it as much improved as FCA says? Is quieter? Where did you order from and how long did it take? Cost wise were you able to get any discounts? are you perchance inthe san deigo area?

He says it's a "loaner" so I doubt he'll be doing anything but taking pics and demoing a few things.

Didn’t see anywhere any mention of it being a ‘loaner’.

Backspacing is also how far the wheel holds the tire away from the frame so it won't rub.

With a wider axle you don't need as much backspacing. That's why others have put wider Dynatrac axles on Rubicat and wheels with less backspacing. Better turning.

Less backspacing, compared to OEM, allows the tire to sit farther out for improved handling and cosmetically a better looking vehicle.

By the way backspacing refers to the distance from the wheel’s mounting surface to the inside edge of the wheel. With longer axles you would want MORE backspacing to keep it closer to the fender.
