I'm considering 35s with 20" wheels. Are you experiencing any rub at all with the 35s on standard suspension/no-lift?

None whatsoever. Now, I have not fully articulated the suspension, but for everyday driving, turning full lock to lock, no rubbing at all. My offset is -12 or 4.5 of backspacing.

Just went to YouTube. I think I get it. Would it be correct to say that when shopping for new wheels that I want a similar offset?

Depends on how far you want the tires to stick out

MANY JEEPS!
No need to be a dick. I’m guessing people like you are why other people hate these forums.
Im a dick? you can't google proper backspacing for a 35 inch tire on a JL? Its same as the JK 4.5 is ideal for that tire size just make sure you have a rubicon or a lift on sport / sahara

The Dirty Life wheels are nice looking and it is cool that the tires can be mounted standard or beadlock.

I spoke to a rep at Dirty Life about the wheels. The 17x9 come in at about 50 pounds. Super heavy! Is the jeep feeling it?

Yes, you are most certainly being a dick. In his post he clearly stated he was a Wrangler virgin. That means he doesn’t know things veterans would know. He doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. If you’re not willing to help a new person who’s admitting their ignorance and is asking for knowledge, you have the option to ignore their post altogether and move on. But posting for no other reason than to roll your eyes and make a snarky comment about their lack of knowledge is the textbook definition of being a dick. Just so you know exactly why you’re a dick in case it want clear. Hope this helps. ;)

I honestly don't feel any difference. Does not feel sluggish in any way.

I would. I noticed some lift compaines with adjustable lower control arms require a minimum of 4.5" of backspacing with wider tires. You can still accomplish this with stock wheels, you would use wheel spacers (hub eccentric) to get the needed backspacing.
