Advil, Tylenol, and 12 Hour Sudafed (the real stuff that you have to get from the pharmacist).Looks like there is a collection of highly intelligent although somewhat dysfunctional people on this thread .. so I am going to ask something out of the ordinary .... Anyone have a good home remedy for a sinus infection that is kicking my butt ... please no pouring teapots of stuff from one nostril to the other ... already trying the whiskey remedy (not helping but sure not hurting either) ... I know I should go see a doctor, but they always say the same thing ..... "WOW" ....
Just not a fan of lawyers or doctors (nurses are another story) .
All kidding aside, it you got something let me know .. Thanks in advance
-Take 3 Advil (should be 3x200mg = 600mg) & 1 12 Hour Sudafed
-Wait 3 hours
-Take 2 Tylenol (should be 2x500mg = 1000mg)
-Wait 3 hours
-3x more Advil
-Wait 3 more hours
-2x Tylenol
-Wait 3 hours
-Repeat.
Basically, you're staggering the Advil and Tylenol so you get overlap when a dose is up, and you get a double whammy when both are going. This will get rid of any symptoms (fever, aches, pains, congestion). If it's an actual infection, you'll need antibiotics.
Note: don't mix this with DayQuil, NyQuil, or use any "cold & flu" or "sinus relief" variants. These all contain more than just Tylenol, Advil, or Sudafed, and you'll take too much.
If you do go to the doctor, try going while not on anything for a few hours (misery, I know) - it'll show them the full gamut of your symptoms.
Good luck and feel better.
