So why would any engineer think this was a good idea? Lets make the steering components stronger, then lets drill a hole and put a pin in said hole for absolutely no reason, but then lets put the useless hole and pin directly on the rod bend! WHY? It does nothing! Best i can gather is stops a complete IDIOT from threading in the tie rod end to far, hey Jeep, natural selection, let the idiots figure that out and lets not compromise the MOST important part of the steering on a Jeep. What should be the 1st upgrade to your new JL ??? A tierod

Oh snap! Literally.

Just curious. How did you get your rig home?

Let me guess. The tie rod is on backorder!

Not sure how I feel about all the new supposedly stronger, yet hollow components.

So I was able to locate just 2 Oem tierods in the entire USA haha ,both in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I am in Denver,so I put it on a plane and overnighted it to me. All dealerships said “vendor delay” . Unacceptable Jeep. No aftermarket parts are available as they are busy developing lift kits and bumpers. Back together now.

I know it doesn't help you now but here's a link to a soon to be available upgrade.
