Just in case anyone else is looking at the Yakima Single Speed hitch Mount here’s some pics. I tried to use it without an extension, but the pedals hit on the tire. I have flat pedals, so you may get it to work if you run clipless. I ended up using a 7” extension and it fits perfect.
My preferred mouting is inside the Jeep via a 2x6 and fork mount so I can secure the bike when I know I’ll be running errands and such before or after riding. When I know I’m heading directly to the trailhead and back I use the hitch mount as it’s much faster loading and unloading. Also, despite some reviews online this things doesn’t sway or wobble more than any other hitch rack.
