It's even better on the JL it completely eliminates the factory gas tank skid and give 3/4" more clearnace the aluminum bellypan system is 10lbs heavier then oem skids amd the steel will be 92lbs heavier
Bump for JL ETA and pricing?

Just ordered a new JL unlimited Rubicon and wanted to know what skid plates I should get first. I am new to off roading and expect to do easy to moderate trails. What type (Oil /transmission etc.) and what products should I consider .
Thanks
Mike
MetalCloak has a nice system

It'd be cool to have a picture that shows the stock skids and these skids to see the areas it improves on.
That is a good idea! I will work on that and post one if I can get that done!

Any chance that these will be sold individually rather than a full system, e.g. just the oil pan or just the transmission/transfer case pieces? Thanks!
No plans for individual parts, they were really designed to work together and overlap.

As mentioned above we have been shipping them at Metalcloak now! Full System is $999, including Engine Skid, Transmission Skid, and Gas Tank Skid!

I see you have a hole in the oil pan / motor section of the skid plate that some companies don't have. Does that mean I can change my oil without removing the skid plates? Not that it is done as often but would I still need to remove them in order to change the tcase and tranny fluid?

That is what the hole is designed for! Oil changes are still just as easy with them on
