Sahara bumper on sport s difficulty.

I actually just did this yesterday and transferred over the sport lights and housing unit over to the Sahara bumper. Takes some modifications bc the light brackets are actually different on the Sahara. All in all it is doable but just takes some time to make some small modifications to the plastic light holder to have it fit and stay locked in place.

Outside is very similar to the sport except for the silver trim. Inside is configured a little differently than the sport but the bolts and everything do line up when putting it on the Jeep.

Make sure you have a deep 18mm socket because the bolts are pretty long!

What did you do to modify the brackets? Any pics?

No pics as I was focused in the moment of getting it all done yesterday but the plastic bracket that the lights are held in each have a flat piece that sticks out and does not fit in the Sahara bumper. Had to cut that piece off (actually snapped both of it and it was a clean cut on both.

Then I set it into place and screwed back in the 4 small bolts that hold it in place in the bumper/open fog light section.

I suggest taking the actually light out of the bracket before cutting/snapping the extra plastic piece off.

Did you paint your grille or use black inserts for the headlights?

I got the black inserts for the grill and headlights. I had those ready to go in before I even drove off the dealer lot lol. Thought the sport looked awful with the all white grill. Before and after...

This looks so great! I've been wanting to do the same with my Sport but don't even know where to begin on ordering all of the parts. Do you have any suggestions?
