Considering switching out my Rough Country shocks for Falcon or Fox shocks opinions? Has anyone done this and what is the falcon or fox shock ride like?

What don't you like about your rough country shocks?
Rough country coil/shock suspension lifts tend to get less than favorable reviews although I don't have any personal experience with their shocks & coils. I have used their spacer lift once before and it served it's intended purpose. I have driven a JK that had Fox shocks and was impressed. I will be installing the Mopar lift that comes with Fox shocks on my JL.

I installed the Fox 1.5-3” lift shocks. They are great. Ride smooth, maybe a bit stiffer than the factory Rubi shocks. Definitely more stable on the rocks and do not fade.

How is the road ride? Stiff, soft, bouncy?

Road ride is smooth. More control over potholes but you can tell they are stiffer than the factory, but controlled and not harsh. Fox, as always did a great job on them. I’m sure they would be even better matched up to a quality aftermarket spring.

I think they're installed backward
The grommet that sticks out should be facing inside.

Ummmm yeah sorry had Falcons on my mind they do have the grommet that sticks out on one side. I see the Fox are equal lengths on both sides.

Have you considered taking a look at a remote reservoir shock with adjustable compression? I read the fox offerings are pretty sweet. I run the ADS 2.5's and they are absolutely incredible on and off road.

I suppose the downside is they do cost a bit more. Good luck with your decision.

I think he asked 2 years ago so I'm betting he bought his set up. Love how those Fox shocks look like Falcons.
