I've paid my dues in life, been totally homeless three times, work a good for nothing dead end job and have minimal skills. I would love to cobble together a rig but I don't have the space for that living in a city apartment. This fits my life, I have earned it, I will get it dirty and scratched and go places it can barely go. It was fun.

Totally get you here! You earned it and have ever reason/right to enjoy it!
They, on the other hand, know nothing about your story. But I know what they generally THINK they see when a new ride pulls up. (Stereotyping here, I know, but I’ve felt it many times myself) Someone with too much money and no respect for those that aren’t in your current shoes(or rig). You’d probably have more in common than not. My outlook is to try and learn something from each of them.

Did you drive through Park Rapids the other day? If yes, was it still as nice as I remember? I was shocked to see on Google maps that they built a Walmart there.

Yes! I did go through Park Rapids. It’s still pretty small, but there is some development. I think it’s definitely still as nice as you remember! We just cruised through on the main highway. The lakes and rest of town probably haven’t changed much. (Didn’t see your peeps, but I did make a point to wave.)
