I'm relatively new to the Jeep community and think it's awesome that a fellow enthusiast can show appreciation for another rig with a simple and harmless small plastic duck.

That said, my wife and I did a week long offroad trip in the Buena Vista CO area this past summer and we went into town one day to visit the popular ice cream shop. While my wife was inline for treats, a very attractive young lady ducked my Jeep with me in it. My wife happened to look over at the same time to see what was going on and all hell broke lose when she returned to the Jeep. So in that case, it was not so harmless! LOL!

I know some people hate the fact that Jeepers like to duck.

But, as someone who is new Jeep owner, it's something fun to see that someone appreciates my rig.

My dad is in the hospital and has been for over a week. I go to see and stay with him every day for a while between my fulltime job and my parttime job and being a wife. And when I come out to my Jeep, it makes me smile to see a duck sitting on it. So as someone who is in a place often full of sadness, it's a nice little pick me up to see after a long day. I have ducks in the back that I give out too...it makes me feel good that someone else is getting appreciation.

Try not to get mad when you might see an unwanted duck on your Jeep. You never know what the person who gave it to you is going through...it might just be the one thing that makes them feel good that day.
Like I always say, Jeep Ducks are for three types of people: Women, Children, and Pedos

Clearly you fit into the first category.

I never wanted kids, that's part of why I'm married my wife. Her kids are all grown up. However one of her grown up kids decided to commit a bunch of crimes and now I have two of my grandkids full time. Basically the one thing I never wanted in life, I now have.

Probably goes without saying, but if you guys want to leave some mutilated ducks on my Jeep, I will happily melt them in the microwave for you guys before throwing them in the trash.

I don't get it... How many fingers deep were you?

Seems like a weird thing to get upset about. It's not like you were over there flirting with her getting her number, unless of course you were... In which case I don't think it's the ducks fault!

I'd be a bit concerned about her jealousy.

I have only gotten a couple of ducks in the four years I have had my JLUR. I don't feel like handing them out, but I'm not mad if I get one and don't understand the hate. Not sure I would line a bunch up on the dash if I got more, at that point I would probably give some away and just keep 2 or 3.

It's fine if they're not affecting the view, but I seriously don't understand how people (safely/accurately) drive with 75 ducks on their dash! I get annoyed by the gigantic state inspection stickers on the windshield, especially since I got to drive a little while before getting them. Having a windshield full of ducks seems a bit like letting a German Shepherd sleep on the dash while I'm driving :CWL:

I think "ducking" is done differently 'round here. Or maybe relationships are 😉

EDIT: serious topic btw
Call me crazy, but I've been really admiring these angry grills in my head lately. 🤔

Thoughts?
Like I always say, Jeep Ducks are for three types of people: Women, Children, and Pedos

Clearly you fit into the first category.

I never wanted kids, that's part of why I'm married my wife. Her kids are all grown up. However one of her grown up kids decided to commit a bunch of crimes and now I have two of my grandkids full time. Basically the one thing I never wanted in life, I now have.

Probably goes without saying, but if you guys want to leave some mutilated ducks on my Jeep, I will happily melt them in the microwave for you guys before throwing them in the trash.

🤪

@AZHellaYellaGirl - I only have a few ducks, but noticing a kid watching once I made a big deal out of it and happily took pics. It made his day,
and mine. Better than getting upset and throwing it on the ground ruining his day,
and mine.

I agree with you on who ducks are for !
But I'm not to the point of stinking up the house cooking a plastic duck !
I did as a joke , carry a plastic shotgun on dash for a few weeks. People would ask about it, I would say it's for rubber ducks !
Got a few laughs.
