I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. It’s manual and had a recall for clutch and a computer update. I took it to a Jeep dealership they did the work. I received my jeep back and now my back up camera doesn’t work, reverse lights don’t work (major safety issue), and dash says service transmission and start/stop light comes on and won’t let you change the screen, you don’t know what gear you are in anymore that is displayed on dash. Can’t see speed, trip, temps, etc. only comes on once clutch is pressed down. Took it back to dealership they are blaming it on the after market tail lights and stinger horizon 10 radio and said we have to pay for them to diagnose it. The stinger radio was professionally installed too. Need help where to go next.

We presume all of the dashboard lights and instruments, etc. were functioning correctly when the vehicle was dropped off at the dealer for the clutch and software updates? If so, you could mention that to the dealer and see where you land.

Unfortunately, this may turn into a You Said/They Said, where the dealer holds the cards. Said differently, they can refuse to help you, and get away with it, until you pay them whatever diagnostic fee they're demanding here.

While they may have indeed done something to cause the post-appointment issues with the backup camera, etc., don't be surprised if they dig their heels in and try to pin the blame on the presence of the aftermarket head unit. That's just how some CDJR dealers have been documented to behave.

Seemingly unrelated electrical issues, like your wonky dashboard functioning, can oftentimes be walked back to a 12V battery that's nearing the end of its practical service life. What's the age of the batter(ies) in your '18?

Pay them to diagnose it and then get reimbursed when they find the root cause not to be the aftermarket parts.

Sounds like the gear position sensor is not adjusted properly or not functioning. This would have happened during the clutch swap.

And you think they’ll admit fault regardless of what they find?

I get what you are saying but it's a lot easier to determine/admit fault once it has been diagnosed.
