Better intake noise

I'd suggest taking a look at the Mishimoto air intake system for the 3.6 JL. We've had ours installed for over 20k miles (2023 Rubicon) and it's performed perfectly with no errors, hiccups, codes, lights, etc. the additional tone is ideal with additional volume but no drone or resonance. They offer both oiled cotton and synthetic dry filter styles so take your pick. We've also since paired it with the MagnaFlow Overland-Series muffler for an improved exhaust tone.

No drone; perfect volume and tone. We just got back from a 6-day / 1,200 mile road trip, with everything from off-road parks/trails to 85 MPH interstates. I'm very pleased with the look & fitment too. We have it paired with the aFe Y-pipe and resonator-delete midpipe.

I have 2 of the AFE dry filters, the "big" one that came with the kit and a standard size one. I just swap them out as needed for cleaning.
One thing to note if you have an aftermarket exhaust it will drown out almost all intake noise.
One of the biggest benefits of this kit in it really cleans up the engine compartment.

While riding horses up a canyon full of broken rock near Springerville, a friend said "When God made Arizona, he forgot to give it dirt". He must have been right. You don't have any dirt in that engine compartment.

Oh we got dirt. As well most of the extra rocks left over from the Rocky's.

I'm not sure anything stock will change the noise.

I got an AFE Momentum intake and big difference in noise. I can hear my turbo a lot better.
Also, the engine feels less clogged.
