I think the ultimate answer between 35 and 37 depends on if the trails and rocks you are about to crawl are going to wreck your baby on 35s then you best go 37s. Moab seems a little much for 35s but are you going to Moab or other serious rock crawls?

Have you considered gaining clearance in other areas such as the exhaust first? I can tell you that 37s look very, very tasty on a Rubicon with a 2-3" lift though :)

I'm running 37's on a 2" mopar lift on my jlur and its honestly the perfect fit and finish. 35's with the rubicons higher fenders look to small when you lift it. Dont feel any need to regear. I did add the Tazer jl to reprogram for tire size to get back to higher gas mileage.

When my lift is installed and the 37's mounted, our rigs will be almost identical, except I have body colored fenders. Obviously, I love the look of your Jeep.

I don’t Regret 37’s for a Second. Speedo is off a little. The JL with the 8 speed trans didn’t even notice. Scrubs a little in the back but I love it.

Any lift on there?

Funny, I've been back and forth on tire size. Stock 33" looks great in person, not so much in pictures. I saw two JLs yesterday parked side by side, both had Mopar 2" lift, no other mods. in pics the 37" looked best, in person, set up as a mall crawler, no other mods, looked like a clown car to me. I'll be shocked if down the road people running 37" tires don't experience lots of issues, just too early to tell. Still on the fence.

An inexpensive 7 minute install ... I put in a Mopar fuel door and got rid of the cheesy way-outdated version.
Have to admit I really like the new look, too!

The closer I get to ordering my Jeep the more confirmed I am on 37s and avoiding possible regret going 35s. Might as well throw caution to the wind and smile at it. :)

No. I installed it today. Here’s some before and after Pics.

Thank you so much! Looks awesome. What lift did you go with? Is that a 3.5” or so?

I’m also interested in what your experience was like before the lift. Family daily driver for me - with truly only occasional and rare, mild off-road usage.

Think I could get by with no lift on 37s? Or would a 1” front and 1.5” rear spacer lift be acceptable? Or is something like the Mopar lift a minimum requirement with 37s for a daily driver on pavement?

I could do Forest service and daily driving and it handled and rode great. No real wheeling at all. A small spacer Lift and 35’s would do great but in my opinion a 2.5 with 37’s would be fine for Mild Wheeling. I did a 3.5 Metal Cloak. I know you can do 35’s or 37’s 12.5’s on The Factory wheels also. The only problem may be turning radius. It may scrub the frame when you turn but you could also adjust the steering stops to stop that. It would shorten you turning radius. Or you could put Wheel spacers and fix it or new wheels with less back spacing. Hope this helps. All this info applies if you have a Rubicon all others would need a 3.5 lift minimum as the Rubicon has high line Fenders.

Thank you! Yep, I’ll be on a Rubicon. My wheels have 4.3 of BS (-10 offset). I’m think 12.5s instead of 13.5s to keep the D load rating (currently I have 35x12.5s with E load, would prefer a softer ride though).

Thank you again!

Name of your wheels please and also specs? How do you like the metalcloak suspension so far? I’m deciding on metalcloak or mopar however I fee metal cloak is a little on the high side with a lot of fender gap. Thank you.

This looks nice. Did you need to remove or heat/bend the lower rear fender area or have any other rubbing spots. I am trying to understand what are the mopar lift with 37's rubbing issues, especially for a more daily driver than off road usage.
I have not done any inner fender modifications yet. I use it as a daily driver as well. I will be hitting the trail next weekend and should find out if there is any rubbing.

Any chance you’d be willing to measure ground to the highest point on your Jeep?

Curious about fitment in my garage if I went with your exact setup (Mopar lift + 37” RGs) on a Rubi.
