BUT - the heat has broken. It's going to be (hold on, need to do the calculation...) 75F today. (I'm choosing to pretend that the humidity isn't 86%...) So I'm in a better mood right off the bat!

Spectacular sounding day, its been around 32C here lately so you've got it good.

Finally heard from my brand mentor...with a week old update...

Dear Joseph,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon order.
I have taken the liberty of looking up your 2018 Jeep Wrangler order and the current status as of June 11th is the following:

Scheduled – All of the materials needed to start the manufacturing build process have been received and the vehicle should be entering the build process very soon.

Our resources indicate your vehicle is estimated to begin production the week of June 25th.

I will continue to track the status of your 2018 Jeep Wrangler order & will provide any updates as they become available.

We appreciate your patience as we launch this exciting new product.

The good news from this is it shows I am supposed to begin production the week of June 25th...maybe the Estimated Ship Date of 6/30 will be fairly close to accurate. And yes...he used my favorite 4-letter word again..."soon"...except this time he added emphasis by adding "very" to it. Is that like immediately?? LOL

I have SO many mixed feelings about this information. I really...really...want to believe him...but I have been let down SO many times in the last 118 days...

To add to my mixed feelings...we dropped Monica's Miata off at the Ceramic Coating place last night and he said that my salesman just bought himself a new JL...I mean...look at that goofy assed smile!!!

Yes, I sent him an email last night telling him he sucked...all in jest...of course...but did ask him where the hell is my JL. He said the rep told him that they are pushing the 2-doors out a little faster now...Gee...I guess 118 days (and counting) is too long...huh? :D

One time I was CDO and I got a call over an incident that was worth the attention of the Commandant. One of our Marines had gotten Drunk in England, nearly gotten into a fight just outside the pub, then almost "abducted" and then was arrested for public intoxication.

sort of. I'm waiting for my Jeep to go on a Train. I ordered 1 week after the 1st 2-door JL hit the assembly line. I didn't go into pain until the 11th of June and I ordered April 21. There is still an issue with getting in parts. Jeep did not prepare for the success of this line and we the customer are suffering for it.

CO detector status update. Most likely it is the culprit. MFG date is May of 2010. It says that it is supposed to last 7 years from date of power up. It's also supposed to display END. I'm proceeding on the assumption that it's close enuf to be DEAD and gonna get a new one today. GAS/CO detector is what it really is and that's what I'll purchase.
