So today I dropped off my JLUR at Jeep for a oil change, cruise recall, to have them look at my grille turning yellowish and driver side window squeaks sometimes going up or down.

They said it might be done by Wednesday and gave me a Hyundai sonata rental, it's free because of the lifetime warranty I purchased, I chose the $12 a day insurance to cover the car if anything happens to it.

We'll see what happens

Why do they need the vehicle for 3 or more days? Oil change takes 10 min., PCM flash recall fix takes 15 min. and for them to take a picture of your yellow grill to send to FCA takes another minute.

You are not going to pick-up your JL and find that they have replaced the grill. They will tell you, that they are waiting on FCA to ship a new grill, etc.. and to come back another time for the grill.

NO way would I leave my vehicle with the same issues at the dealership for 3 days. I could care less about a friggin rental car or damage insurance. Vehicle at a dealership for any amount of time is lets say an accident waiting to happen.

Yes, you do have a choice in all this but you have to speak up.

I just called them right now (Thursday morning) and besides having the oil change Monday the jeep has not been look at yet, it's been sitting since Monday!! She said that unfortunately there are vehicles ahead of mine. I told her that before I dropped it off, they said it would be done by Wednesday. F#%*ing BS

Well the Jeep dealer just now called and said its ready for pick up.

Oil change was done.

They said I have non factory tint, because of that , dirt and dust is probably being built up making the driver side window squeak when its rolled up or down but it wasnt squeaking for them (only happens sometimes).

Recall was done.

The yellowish front grille is normal, they said they looked at other jeeps and they looked the same. They also said its because of the material the paint is covering.

Looks just like all the other yellowing white grills. Nothing to see here. Move along. FCA dealer of the year goes to?

Called back and told her I read about dealers replacing the grille and painting it for ppl who are having the same issue, will you at least take a pic and send it to the FCA and see what they say. She said no the service director already inspected it and that's something I would have to do

Find another dealer. That one does not want to do warranty work.
