My build date from FCA is tomorrow 6-18-18! I hope it stays true.... I’d like it built before the hungover or possibly drunk factory workers around the 4th of July get a crack at my baby. Lol

It will! All the promo pics I've seen with doors off, top off & windshield down look great! Hope taking the windshield down is as easy as they say it is. I'll be doing it a lot if it is.

Todays mods. Smittybilt 9500 winch and grab handles. So used to the handles in the old jeep it was a must have. Missed em dearly on the trail yesterday.

After having my wife's jeep for a few days, we are more than pleased. I'm glad we equiped it as we did. Only thing we might have done differently is getting the LED package.
Some observations
Standard soft top is great. Way less wind noise than expected.
6 Spd works perfect. My wife just got rid of a Jetta for this so we are pleasantly surprised. We expected it to be truck like.
Standard sound system is better than expected.
My wife loves her new Jeep!!

I'm trading my manual VW Rabbit for a manual Jeep and have been worried that it will be horrible compared to the VW. VW's are notoriously unreliable, but the way they drive is amazing. Glad to hear you are happy with it. Makes me feel a lot better! Love the colour, enjoy! Mine is supposed to show up at the Wpg rail yards this Wed - fingers crossed!

I went with the standard soft top myself--great to hear! I've only driven the manual Rubicon. How tall are the gears in the 6 speed with the Sport's axle ratios? I ordered the 6 speed as well.

I went base Sport, so I'm going from an Accord with heated leather and a touch-screen nav back to manual windows, locks, and climate! haha

!st gear is pretty low so a quick shift to 2nd. After that I think the ratios are well spaced. 6th is definitely tall. Ive only used it for level road at speeds well over 100km/hr ( 60 mph )

it does sit in there nicely. one thing of note: the doors are aluminum so the controller magnet only sticks to the bolts lol

Morning everyone! My Jeep is supposed to be built this week, fingers crossed!

Rather than obsess over it, I plan on keeping myself busy with other things. Lots of things going on at work, Miata should be out of the shop soon, going to detail it and get the appraisals.

And spending plenty of time with my little foster daughter. She has opened up to wife and I so much in the last couple of weeks, so this week I am taking her to a gymnastics school (she really wants to go) and see about getting her enrolled. And she loves playing video games with me! So the evenings will be all about playing Mario Kart racing and old school games on my arcade table.

As excited as I am about the Jeep, seeing her laugh and smile is so more important than any physical possessions to me.

Ugh! My jeep is still sitting on a railcar. Been a week now. Just sitting... Hopefully, they decide to offload it this week. Darn thing is only 4 1/2 hour drive away...
