Hubby is reading about Kirkegaard, as I’m giggling about furry potatoes. He says this is why humanity is doomed. I disagree - I can discuss Kirkegaard, but it’s bedtime, and I think sea cat snakes are more appropriate bedtime reading.

We’ve agreed to disagree, but the sighs everytime I giggle are getting a bit much. If he’s not careful, I’ll start rounding up our best memes.

Yes, Rattlers are VERY rare here, but they are here. I'll have to agree with the wildlife officer, this is very weird, and I didn't know a rattlesnake would go swimming!

Now I have to add swimming rattlesnakes to my list of things to avoid, on top of Water Moccasins and baby Copperheads that will Kill you DED!

I get a kick that the soft top upgrade is wayyyy more than the engine upgrade lol.

Jeeps were expensive even back then! I remember my parents bought a brand new 76 Buick Regal for about the same price. The engine upgrade is cheap due to going from a 232 to a 250. The top is expensive because Jeeps came standard with NO top!

I can imagine the sales rep, fresh out of Vietnam, "you want a soft top? You Pansy!"

I've done some conversions:

$69 in 1976 is $306.49 today. Very nice for an engine upgrade!
$225 translates to $999.42 so not that bad compared to what I'd pay for an OEM softop today...

Can you imagine what the general forums would look like if we were limited to the CJ-5/7? I can imagine the arguements over how the cost to upgrade to the larger inline six doesn't justify a mere 5 Hp and 10 Lb-ft advantage, and then someone with the V8 getting smug with everyeone...
