I suffer that same thing. And she really believes that she is a great driver. Local police sent a video of her blatantly running a red light. Several speed camera tickets as well. I do have to remind her of that.

I will say that my wife hasn't got any of those - she's a pretty steady driver. However, there is some curb rash on the wheels of her Charger...

Both of ours are rescues too. Beau was surrendered as a puppy along with his whole litter, full of worms. And Jessica was surrendered after having had a litter of kittens and they "couldn't handle her anymore" when my wife was in Michigan for grad school.

Charlie was part of an accidental litter. A simple fence was not enough to keep Charlie Sr away, lol.

We did rescue and foster a few dogs.

Bella here is one we should have kept. But we did find a home for her with one of the other Marines in 2nd ANGLICO. She really was sweet on a level that competes with Charlie. lol.

Definitely not. That sudden gasp when someone does something somewhere on the road, completely unrelated to what I'm doing and where I'm doing it, is a common occurrence. Along with the sacred chant "Brake lights... brake lights... BRAKE LIGHTS..." all while I gently coast or brake to a stop.

Looks like I have quite a few pages to catch up on after researching some shenanigans of a certain regulatory authority I have to deal with. I may summarize that when I'm caught up, but in the meantime...

I usually don't get the brake light chant, but I do get the hand to dash/brace for impact action. I keep telling her that because of the air bag being there she should just relax and enjoy the high impact collision instead of getting punched in the face by her own hand
