Congrats and awesome! Welcome to the club. We got ours 18 months ago and love it!

We got a call last Monday that we needed to be in Vegas on Thursday to take possession of our Patriot X3 that we ordered back in September. We left Tuesday for the 5 hour drive so we could have a little fun before hauling the trailer home. Justin and Sarah, the owners of Patriot Campers met us at the warehouse and let me tell you, what an awesome couple they are. There was 5 owners doing their pick up that day and when we arrived all the trailers were lined up with our names on them and congratulations. Justin and Sarah took us all inside and we sat around in the lounge while some of the owners did some paperwork. They told us all about their company, answered any and all questions and were just really awesome, down to earth people.

They then took us to the showroom where Justin did a completely thorough walkthrough and again answered all questions in the process. We took a break halfway through so they could feed us lunch and then we completed the walkthrough. After that they had us pull our vehicles up and hitched us up one by one and we were off. I had never seen an X3 in person before I ordered it but I am even more impressed with it in person. The quality compared to other RVs is miles better and knowing that the owners spent so much time with us tells me that they really back their product. An added bonus was that I couldn't even feel it behind me and the 2.0 didn't even flinch!!

Mine was like $61,400.00 out the door. I think the higher prices are Australian dollars, but they aren't cheap. I had a 2018 30' travel trailer that I sold to help pay for this guy but the travel trailer was already starting to have quality issues and we were so limited on where we could go. You can easily see the difference in quality of these things and I can go anywhere so I'm happy to rid myself of the big boxy travel trailer that is built like shit and pay more for smaller with quality.

Love this camper and also Off Grid Trailers. Unfortunately, the 2 door doesn't tow much. Does anyone know of anything even remotely comparable to an off road trailer such as this that's light enough for a 2 door JL? Probably not, especially when loaded up with cargo.
This is what I tow with my JLR with no problems. Auto v-6 4:10 gears air pillows. Also cost less than half of patriot x-3 with more options. Also inside box sleeping.

Oops forgot wt: 1850# dry, 2500# wet & loaded.
Nice compact trailer. I have been towing a Little Guy Mini Max with our JLUR, but we are so into the JLR (2D)we are going to get it set-up to camp and travel in also. The suspension will need a little tweek to give good highway manners with the extra weight. But cross section width is small enough that winds should not cause issues. The axles are more than sufficient. Gonna look real hard at that one.

I like that camper! Doesn’t that exceed the max towing of the JL 2 door?
Yes by MOPAR US standard. No BY MOPAR Europe standard for the same vehicle. I added air up spring pillows to keep level when towing trailer.

Those are cool trailers, I looked at them as well. I don't think it's fair to say its apples to apples though; such as it's better AND cheaper. The suspension of the two aren't really comparable. The frame isn't galvanized steel or as robust. X3 fits a 75L fridge, 10 more Gallons of water, higher inverter, full spare underneath with skid plates. The storage on the X3 is also next level, and it's slider/access system is just awesome. It's also just so dang big inside. For someone who totes their wife along and two 60lbs dogs we just couldn't be comfortable in the hard wall setup.
So while they are both great, there are reasons the price is high for a Patriot.....do I think they are likely a bit overpriced for a "tent" style trailer? Sure, but price wasn't really a factor in my decision, it was about how I use it and overall quality.

I do agree with some of what you said, but: I am 74 and don’t have a wife, kids or dogs sleeping with/camping with me. This is my toy only. Also money does matter to me, not I am afraid I will out lived my wealth but I am frugal (some say cheap). Besides that this OffGridTrailer looks pretty damn cool behind my jeep!

I agree, it looks really good behind your Jeep! We're lucky to have cool options on the market, and all the little nuances of each one to fit how different people use them. I will say, I would not be able to use my X3 at 74. Folding over the tent portion is pretty arduous and even at a fit 38 I find it challenging. I only brought it up for those that may come along this thread now or later looking at trailers. It's nice to hear first hand when often it's hard to see these kinds of things in person. Enjoy your adventures

The patriot X3 is unquestionably very cool in my opinion, I just can’t get past the price tag. Surely someone has bought one before and ended up selling later. That said I can’t find any used for sale. Small and likely devoted market of owners I suppose, but if anyone knows of a way to find used let me know.
