@RatbertI updated to the latest Android Pixel 7 Pro security update last night. Plugged in the phone via USB-C today and it immediately worked!
The MA1, however, never connected. Oh well.
Try this:
Unplug the smartphone from the USB cable...
Reset the MA1. (see MA1 instr.)
Immediately after reset of the MA1 unplug the MA1 from the USB port.
Now, go into UConnect projection manager and delete the MA1 shown there.
Now, attach the smart phone with the USB cable to the USB port.... Wait a minute til you see Android Auto working...
Now, disconnect the USB cable and immediately/ plug the MA1 into the same port you disconnected the USB cable.
Hopefully you will see the MA1 setup.
