I am posting this as I researched this site frequently regarding adding a lift to a JLU Willys with 33" tires. I have a 2021 Willys, JLU. I first swapped out the 32" M/Ts for 285/70/17 A/Ts… huge difference in ride quality and performance. I then added the Mopar 2" lift. I was skeptical about how it would look based on previous comments. First of all, it looks great, I can't be happier. More importantly, the Jeep rides much better… control, responsiveness, you name it.

I am not looking to crawl over boulders or do anything extreme; however, for an everyday driver that enjoys hitting the trails to get to remote locations, this set-up is perfect. I hope this helps others who are contemplating upgrading their Jeeps.

I'm running my Jeep with the stock sport tires. Mostly for function as I typically go places where I'd like to keep my 6MT bell-housing above water as much as possible. I'll go bigger on tires once Stellantis is off the hook on the warranty as I don't want to regear it under warranty. I like the look and functionality. My wife wants to get "steppy bars" and our son is like "not a chance".

It looks like you need some front mudflaps.

Thinking of lift and tires myself. I was thinking 285/75/17 tires, any particular reason you went with 70's?

No particular reason. I wanted KO2's, and I went with the same size tire that comes stock on the Rubicon (I did the tires before the lift).
