The Jeep gets driven a little more now, and everything is functioning flawlessly. ESS is back to its normal annoying self.

And, no.. you do not need a pricey aftermarket dual battery system. Most guys/gals don't need to go that route. Yes, for some it is a terrific way to go but.. And again, no you do not have to delete the Aux battery... just simply bypass it..
I'm skeptical a dual battery system for ESS is good deal for anyone. I might add a dual battery tray with ESS disabled - so I have double the reserve when winching and drawing 100 amps over the 240 amp output.

If I remove and disconnect aux battery does the Aug switches still work?
I.e. only main battery and Aug switches will work?

Cannot find and I cannot use then as dumb message keeps populating auxswitches cannot be used and I am 99% after reading all its the aux battery but don't want to lose aux switches.

Someone with a bit more technical acumen can confirm this, but I don’t believe there is any correlation or connection between the aux switches and the aux battery, other than a common part of their name. I don’t think they would slave the aux switches to the aux battery in isolation and I have stalked all the threads about bypassing or removing the aux battery and no one has brought this up as a potential issue.

Don't know. I don't have the Aux Switches on mine. It should power everything, with the Tiny Battery bypassed. Its a simple 5-10 minute fix, and reversible. Try and post results.

@RenegadeJeeper

Yes, the Aux switches still work when you run with just the Main battery and the Aux battery bypassed.

Only if you keep the Golf cart Battery hooked up when you drive. Not like the older cars that would run without a battery, once started.

This is an interesting thread and glad I found it. Wife went to bring my son to school this morning and Jeep wouldn't start. 2019 Rubicon with 31k miles. Never had a batter issue until today. Don't know if it's failing or just the cold Denver morning.

Looking to be preemptive and change out the battery and do what's suggested here. Two questions. The EverStart battery is out of stock, anywhere else you can get it or an equivalent? And anything other than ESS (what is that exactly) I should worry about when bypassing the Aux battery?
