Mine started leaking this morning. 12/21 build. 8900 miles. I checked and looks like as of yesterday 11/29, there is now a formal recall out for this. Bringing mine in tomorrow.

When I run my vin through Safercar.gov - No recalls..

But on the MOPAR website.. this is what came up.. (Sorry for the split screen).

Oh and when I click the link to the PDF, it brings me to "page not found" lol.

Have not noticed any leaks would not have known about this issue but for the 11-29 campaign showing on the app. Was down 12 ounces…. Dealer is doing the work next Tuesday.

Happening on MY 2023. Smelled coolant while driving on Saturday and on my way back home the engine light came on. Calling local dealer when they open. My mileage is 1600.

Follow up - called local dealer and they are not taking any new appointments until Jan 3rd. They said that I could stop by and they would run the codes to see what the issue is but no guarante on when they would get around to fixing it. I told her if it was the TSB issue it was a 10 minute fix. She said nothing is ever a 10 minute fix. Pretty frustrating.

I fly back to Houston on Wednesday so will deal with it when we return to Durango in mid-Jan. Not to impressed with the local dealer here.

Mm. Having DIYd most of my vehicle maintenance & repair for 30+ years now, I can see both sides here: your frustration as an owner, based on the simplicity of the repair per the printed TSB, and the service writer's experience informing her comment that seemingly simple repairs can take longer than we'd otherwise expect.

By way of example, I've discovered any number of YouTube videos that are slickly edited in such a way to compress the appearance of a 60 minute job into 10 minutes. Only after we start spinning wrenches do we discover that, Hey, this may take a little while.

Anyway, best of luck with the repair process.

After calling 4 Jeep dealers in my area, and being denied by each of them..I finally found one that agreed to take the car in and perform the recall.

Shoutout to White Plains Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.. Got my car in same day and it was ready for pickup the next morning.

There’s no codes, they just check the torque on two t-30 bolts. My dealer wasn’t even aware of the issue it was so early, but we got a recall notice on the My Jeep app for 21-22 dated 11-29.

For those of you tightening these bolts yourselves, how did you get to them? From the top or bottom? Looks like I need a dozen wobblers to weave through all the hoses.

I couldn’t get at it on my wife’s 2023 which is not subject to recall….. not into gimmick tools but ordered this on Amazon for $17.99. We shall see. Based on how close I got with my stuff (1/4 drive, wobblies) looks like it may do the trick.

One from top and one from bottom. I just carefully shoved my arm through the mess of hoses.
