Does anyone know when or if amp research will make a powerstep for the JLU? I’m looking to get a set but haven’t heard anything about when they might be available

Rock Slide Engineering makes a set of rock sliders for the JL that have auto deploying steps built into them. Pretty sure they are for sale or at least taking orders.

I did not know rock slide was making them. I'll have to look into them. It's hard to tell how wide the step is. Anyone have a set?

They look to be about 1.5" to 2" wide. Where rock slide shines is that they drop 12" so if you have a big lift or in my case a 2 year old that insists on climbing in the car all by himself they are the best option. I just don't know if I want to spend the money on them sight unseen.

I am waiting for a power step as well and looking at Amp as I had them on my JK. I like the Rock Slide except for; cost $1900, a small step, and the 12" drop.

My installer is in contact with Amp and thinks they will be ready about August, time will tell.

Looking at Bestop as well but don't know enough about them.

I had amp on my 16 JK and a previous F150 and loved them. They work great and i got them for 1100 bucks and they have a 5 yr/ 100,000 mile warranty.

Yes. RSE originally made both a power slider and a power step.

Aries took over just the step.

From my understanding, amp and bestop are the same product. I was told they were once the same company and then split, but the steps are supposed to be identical. This is what I have been told from a local shop that deals with both.

If you're not planning on rock sliding, check out the Actiontrac, now produced by Aries.

They're cool for a lifted jeep that does weekend offroading, but is still a daily driver.

I have a pair on order through 4WheelParts, due mid May.

I'm very interested in this and see it's on sale for $1,699 from CarID....are you planning on using your AUX switches for the On/Off Switch that's included with the kit? After install can you post pics?
