Well, it wasn't a big thing for me then...I was born and lived in Panama for 14 yrs. Dad was Civil Service down there and worked for the Panama Canal Commission. He was also born down there. As a scout, we got to go on jungle excursions, eat snake, make bows and arrows like the natives, and had a kick-ass jamboree every year. :D Of course...there was the ever present mosquitos big enough to carry off the runts...but there are losses in every expedition...right?

Seriously when My wife was a little girl, whenever she visited Panama or the Philippines, she would get eaten up by the bugs... Ignore all bug spray and eat her up.

Well...isn't it a small freak'n world??!!??!! When was he down there? We moved to the states in 1980.

He was born there in 53, moved to the States in mid 70s and joined the Marine Corps. After he retired he bought a small house down there not too far away from Panama City and that's where he lives now.
