I never understood why people put the "It's a Jeep thing...you wouldn't understand" stickers on their Jeeps. So WHAT is a "Jeep thing"? The fact that you are driving a Jeep? What is there to not understand? You are driving a Jeep. I understand it. It's as plain as day. There is nothing that says it won't be understood about your Jeep. Does driving a Jeep put you in some sort of niche auto group where outsiders wouldnā€™t ā€œunderstandā€? There are thousand of Jeeps on the road. You are not the only Jeep driver. My wife drives an Audi. Should she put a "it's an Audi thing...you wouldn't understand" sticker on her back windshield?

j/k man...lol. Just busting your balls. Nice looking Jeep!
cLeArLy YoU wOuLdN't UnDeRsTaNd besides dude, if you don't know we're not gonna tell you.

Added a handheld radio mount for anything I might need when in a group.

Here are the parts. Note that the actual radio mount bracket holes don't match the RAM ball mount holes so drilling two new holes is needed - and I am proud to say I actually checked the measurements before buying so I knew I would need to drill :).
I have an extra long GMRS antenna on this radio, was too lazy to swap for the stubby. Works fine though.

That's quite the cockpit you've created there... šŸ‘

Replaced both batteries today. I debated pulling the fender liner but opted to go from the top. Iā€™m glad I did, it was very straightforward and simple.

Removed that darn keg we call a muffler and replaced with a dynomax pipe. Havenā€™t started it up yet. I have a resonator I should get welded on the straight pipe next week. It sure cleans up the rear-end.

Also received and tried on my ā€˜ā€™winterā€™ā€™ snorkel prefilter. It sucks air from underneath, so I wont have to worry about it packing shut with wet snow which is a reality up here.

That darn dynomax muffler delete pipe was extremely short lived. Gives a nice rumble, but too loud for my dogā€™s ears. Poor guy had his ears back and nose dripping of stress. And since heā€™s my Jeep buddyā€¦ā€¦ Honestly, never even thought of that šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø So since the keg was out, I took that opportunity to paint it with high heat black paint and reinstalled it. Virtually invisible now. I guess Iā€™ll routinely sand and paint it every spring.

These aren't real either. Below was my original post so you can see the full interior. Most of this came from Amazon, some from eBay. If you can't find some of the pieces I can look at my order history and send the links.

I did look into real carbon fiber but even small pieces were in the hundreds of dollars and larger ones over a thousand.

thanks! Howā€™s the quality? Does it look like fake carbon fiber? I have a real carbon fiber steering wheel so I donā€™t want it to mismatch too poorly.

Iā€™d be interested in links for the screen bezel, radio/aC controls, shifter and cup holder bezels

Post a pic of you steering wheel, would love to see it. It doesn't look cheap but if you look at it and think about it, you realize it is not real. It is semi-glossy. I'll try to find the links this weekend. Worst case is you can return them. I think the center console were some of the eBay pieces.

'20 Jeep Jt, 91 F1504x4 and so on...
Well, several months ago I was taking a trip pulling my trailer with my '20 JTR 3.6. I was tooling along, just asking my jeep to do its friggin job; and agrivated by a case of twirl bearing, my engine threw a millennial tantrem. I realize my ass and legs aren't what they use to be but I spent 6 hours on the side of the road.

Falantis, after some spying, replace the engine all spiffy like. how nice. I realized that I didn't like that inadequate feeling of being under powered. So I had a buddy look at it to see what he could do. He owns a shop and does good work. When I got it back it ran a little better. OK, a lot better. It was fine except for a noise from under the hood, especially under heavy acceleration. I finally got curious and looked under the hood.

Curiously, where it use to read 3.6 vvt or something similar; it now reads MAGNUSON. Otherwise looks stock.

The moral of the story, stay in shape. Don't let that ass sag. Keep the legs shaved. My wife completely agrees.

Gave it a bath after the wheeling shenanigans yesterday. Discovered some fresh rock rash on a one wheel. Funny thing itā€™s the same one tgat got some rash last trip, passenger rear.
