Do you think there will be a 2024 392? Or any other V8 Wrangler ever again?

It seems like Chrysler is going to be forced to discontinue the 392 by 2024, especially with the hellcat & other 392s going under... Do you agree? What do you think this means for the resale value of used 392s? Are they going to stick around the 80-100k mark used or go way beyond that in the coming years?

Sure...
My guess, and it’s only a GUESS, is that the 392 is over for 2024.

Does anyone on here actually know the answer to that question? No.

Rumor is that all of the current V8’s are being cancelled and replaced with the Turbo I6. I doubt FCA could do that all at once but it seems to be the future.

Doubt there would be a market for a 392 in 2024 especially when you have a turbo six with better fuel economy, more modability and more horsepower/torque.

Oh yeah my bet is 392 is gone by then. The 3.0 Hurricane Inline 6 is producing more power, lighter weight and it will be the latest and greatest thing. Plus you will have the option of a SO standard output version or HO high output version.

All we know is that there will be a 23!! After that they aren’t telling, and won’t until about the same time frame as the announced demise of the Hellcats, which was about a model year! The longer there is no announcement the better the odds on a 24. The shorter the production run the higher the future collectible possibility, it WILL be the ONLY V8 Wrangler made!!

The question is, will the turbo I6, fit in a wrangler? Is the length, going to be a issue?
As for the 392, I think that the Feds, will cause it to be phased out. When, is anybodies guess.

This. If there's a single metric that arguably steers consumer preferences, it's the bolded bit.

The 4.0 I6 fit fine in the smaller TJ, so odds are good I'd think?

Fairly sure the TJ had a bigger engine bay. Couldnt find dimensions to compare.

Having had both a JL and a TJ, the TJ for sure felt more spacious under the hood.

I loved my TJ, so easy to work on that engine. Could even remove the oil filter from up top on that thing. It did feel more spacious, but part of that may have just been the simplicity of that vehicle vs the JL too.

Get one in 23 and don't look back. According to Dodge President he is going to keep ICE as long as he can because as he said there is a market for it. When no one knows.
