I'm catching up on corporate e-training today. Currently taking a course called "Source to Pay Overview and Governance Training"

In my 22+ years with this company I have never ONCE dealt with suppliers. It's f'in ridiculous that they make engineers take these courses.

I really think they do it to get some sort of tax write-off or similar.

Recently had my kid completely diss my Onkyo receiver that I splurged well beyond my means or needs for a couple decades+ ago. The pain!

My parents still have the speakers they got when I was a little kid. Just a little bit of refurbishment kept them going for decades. There's no need to dis them when they can shatter your eardrums... lol!

Got a new belt that is 1/32 wider but it works just fine. Test was successful but it's too hot already to do any grinding. Try tomorrow.

Just like the mandate for us to take the Support staff's "Active shooter" training. It instructs them to hide, barricade and fake death. I guess the Uvalde Cops took that training instead of the LE version.

Most of the time they are mandated by states that companies do business in. I know that if we don't have certain trainings done by a certain date we get fined for each employee that did not complete it. Many of them pertain to only certain jobs, but we all have to take them.

I've recently changes projects and am currently studying, trying to learn FAA software certification. Maybe we should switch?

Today work attire is just underwear. To hot and humid for cloth today.

The reel to reel my dad bought before I was born is in far better shape than I am. I was told his original speakers didn't make it back from Germany though, but I am sure they would have lasted about as long.
