Ditto on the sand - so does that actually happen (diag port getting fried by salt?). I've never heard of that and my JK was in the sand/salt 250+ days a year for the better part of it's 15 years. Also - sand/salt - Armorlite, best purchase. I have the molle as well, just with Bartact seat covers.

Sorry, Jeep newb question….. Why adjust the steering box?

There is a lot of information on this issue. In my case, brand new Willys 2 door, if you saw me driving down the road you’d swear I was drunk. The steering had a huge gap side to side or dead spot. The fix for that was to adjust the gear box backlash. That with 32 psi fixed 98% of it. It still has about 1/2 dead spot which cannot be remedied.

6) Redline Hood struts were actually more of must have than the phone mount

Do you actually need to lift that hood that often? I'm thinking that I'll rarely get under there after installing an Epic Kraken last week.

For Sports models:
1. Sidestep/running board, Sports models look uncomplete without them. I have ROAM, but any Rubicon takeoffs would work.
2. Rubi takeoff wheels and tires
3. HID headlights
4. Paracord grab handle
5. Hood side stickers to name your jeep.

It has been excellent, no issues, easy to install, and very durable. I have the 5-inch screen protector for my 2-door Sport, but it looks like they make them for 7" and 8.4". Enjoy!

I just installed it today,

I had my Mopar mudflaps cut to fit around the rock rails on a band saw. Worked like a charm and you can’t see they were modified. I don’t think I would have had to do that though had I bought the Rubicon versions (my Islander is a Sport S but which comes with Rubicon rock rails - I didn’t think that through).

I haven’t had a rock chip since I installed them (not to jinx it)

Ok, so Rubicon front mud flaps should fit w/rock rails? I have a Willys with the rails.

I removed the "Wrangler Unlimited" decals and considered also deleting "4 Wheel drive" but opted to keep it. That decal is Willys specific, so it has meaning, but hey I might change my mind and take it off later.

eBay or the dealer. I ended up just going to Amazon and getting a budget one for under $12 for my 7" screen. Side note: The Mopar website did the same thing to me when ordering a paint stick. I was able to place the order and shortly after got the same generic email notification, backorder and they cancelled my order. I then just called local dealers and got one that way.

So I was told by my local shop - and it only makes sense. The rock rails were precisely why the standard version I bought didn’t initially fit.

Do you actually need to lift that hood that often? I'm thinking that I'll rarely get under there after installing an Epic Kraken last week.

Honestly more for service techs than me personally. And really more for them not slamming the hood as opposed to opening it.
