My dealer told me that inflation is just transitory
my dealer told me that poor kids are just as good at rock crawling as white kids.

he also was telling me about how the local kids liked to touch his hairy legs in the pool...and thats when i had to cut the conversation short before we both ended up being visited by Chris Hansen.
that was back in 2018. last i heard that guy was running for some office.

I could not wait so built my own... I will say though, if I was to buy a 5th JL I would go back to the V6, or wait for the I-6. I still really like this one, but I am not sure I would get another.

What don't you like about the diesel?

IMO probably not because the Diesel powertrain is certified as a complete package. Besides, you can build it like I did and there is more than enough torque to climb anything. The 4.56 would be nice but the only reason we regeared was because we had such anemic engines.

An in-line diesel six, XR package, 37s, and 4.10:1 gears (diesel torque) would be my reason to stand in line. Oh, and Nacho orange…

That would only happen if the Bronco had a diesel with 35s. The XR is simply Jeep's hurried reaction to the Bronco's factory 35s.

Jeep now needs to focus on a response to the Bronco Raptor, which has factory 37s, Dana 50 rear axle and advanced shocks.
If that's their target I sure AF hope that they don't also make it as stupidly wide as that behemoth is.

I hear ya. An XR package wouldn't have covered what I wanted so I went with the JLURDBIGAF package. And I love my diesel. Best rock crawling engine ever put in a Jeep, IMO.

I assume you are commenting on axle widths since there is no need to make the body any wider except for the flares.

In general, those running large tires seem to install aftermarket axles that are wider by 2-6 inches. Some also like the improved stability they provide. There is a minor drawback for tight trails, but that quickly abates as these wider axles become more prevalent and trails get widened by them.
