Finished upgrading my sound system by installing the Terra Acoustics front speakers. This in combination with the SI Pods + Alpine S-S65C, knocks it out of the park IMHO...

super easy to install and looks OEM vs Frankenbuild. I even found the blue clips that i had lost installing the leather upper dash. I removed the factory speakers and there they were!!

I installed a Bolt hood lock today. The grill was much easier to take off than I had imagined, making the hood lock an easy installation. I was done in under an hour.

Made some Jeep Easter eggs today. I’m normally not a sticker guy but these are so small and subtle. Had to add the oem Easter egg to the windshield do you it being replaced. The other two are just fun

Installed Hothead headliner, with rear side liners and Sound Assassin strips. Took approx. 2 hours at a slow pace.

Completed the MetalCloak UnderCloak package on the JL this afternoon. Installed some tube doors as well. Doing the skids by myself in the garage at age 63 was a bit of a go, but got it done right at 3 hours. Had it aligned yesterday after the lift and steering last weekend. I was super impressed on delivery from July 4th sale at MetalCloak, less than 5 days to receive the armor and steering kit.

Going to Rubicon next week, I hope we are ready. Not much time for shakedown runs, makes me a bit nervous.

Thanks, took delivery of it stock on 7/3/22. this is where we are today :). A lot of wrenching in 10 days, but it was fun and great exercise. When I retire, I might just start building these things. It's great fun and pretty rewarding.

I used the plug & play adapter that Oracle makes so it was super easy! The only issue was fitment of the driver side light in the steel bumper. I had to grind a bunch off the light & repaint it to get it to fit. Apparently Oracle has done a redesign but I was sent the old style.
Just installed mine. Lose the screw to mount the pass side light back in somewhere in the bumper. I’ll have to wait for my magnet picker to show up with my HHG on Wednesday. Those tiny bolts are near impossible to get to. The driver side didn’t fit for me either. While I also didn’t have my grinder, I “compression fit it with some force (a hammer and some foam covering) Shockingly, it didn’t break- I doubt I’d ever be able to get it back out if I needed to. Either way, rest of the install wasn’t too bad. Cheap solution for some better reverse lighting. I’ll likely keep it that way until some day in the future when I replace the oem steel bumper.

Sort of, kinda retired....mostly
Installed one of these bad boys. My S(h)mittybuilt one bit the dust when airing up after the Rubicon Trail, so I decided it was time to reward myself. The Grimm bracket kit is awesome, very clean and efficient use of space. The installation video from Northridge 4x4 was spot on and made it very easy. Plus, it was an Amazon Prime Day special.
The install video:

Yes, inexpensive way to pump up reverse lights.
