Is the top at the rear level with the freedom top? If you deform the factory seal when installing it makes the top sit high. Won’t insult you by asking if the front locks are unlocked 🙂I take mine off in winter and I learned to put silicone spay on the seal first in the spring. I get mine started then use a rubber mallet to LIGHTLY tap it on.

Slow down. Take a good look at clamp to see how it makes sense to fit. Mine was off a little and drove Me crazy

That’s the issue when it’s in place it does not sit level with the rear top

It was hard the first time for me. Needed some force. But became easier as it got removed 3 or 4 times. You are doing that as the last step correct?

Do you have the sunrider on already? That clamp sandwiches the sunrider to the hardtop like a springless clothespin.

I tried to install it first and that doesn't work, needs to be last.

I just installed my sunrider a few days ago. The rear clamp, that bolts the sunrider to the hard top, took a little force and wiggling to go on. It was much easier the second time I clamped it. Obviously, make sure the rest of the hardware is properly secured and flush with the mounting points. The back clamp is the last thing to go on.
