The 2.0/3.6 argument is easy because the 2.0 doesn't exist. There is only one option for manuals...

Here is one that is going to upset some people: ESS isn't that bad.
ASS doesn't bother me on my manual Gladiator - it has activated once in two years of driving- had to wait for a train and put it in neutral to keep the ac going. Only hate that I had to pay for it.

Thereā€™s a mullet Jeep in the area that has one of those grumper grills along with a bunch of other similar themed add-ons.

Itā€™sā€¦ interestingā€¦. Big lift, tires and wheels, plus other stuff that fits the look. Theyā€™ve obviously invested a lot of money into it and they probably love it.

Iā€™ve seen it twice now and both times I found myself staring at it because from a distance itā€™s hard to figure out what it is.

When they get closer I feel obligated to wave because they can tell I am looking at them but I am crying inside for what they did to it. This isnā€™t it, but like it only in black.

A neighbor has a nicely modded always spotless (as opposed to mine) 2 dr. ruined by a hideous angry grill (IMO), but but-beauty is in the eye- heā€™s the one climbing into it- his money- etc.
Problem is, after he climbs into it, the rest of us still have to look at it!

Wait, what? Mine activates every day. Every time I stop at a light, and I have a manual as well.

Do you sit with the clutch in at lights?

What about waving at non wranglers? I used to love getting waves when I had my renegade
It's hard for me to think of anything more contentious than the 3.6 vs 2.0 issue. It's strange to me that that issue stands higher on the list of importance than the mall crawler issue. I would have guessed that a Rubicon on 38's with trail armor and a high-lift that never sees dirt would be far more offensive here than questions about the obvious superiority of the 2.0l...but the 2.0l issue will draw a bigger crowd every time.
Hey! Don't stack all us mall crawlers together. šŸ¤£
I'll never lift or put on anything other than stock sized tires on my Jeep but I do enjoy passing an overloaded Mad Max mobile at 65 on my way to get coffee.
A ride down the Blue Ridge Parkway again is on my to do list very soon....first time for the Jeep.

Skittles colored vs many shades of grey

Give me skittles every timeā€”they are delicious and make both people and Jeeps happy. I love my Chief and smile every time I see a mojito, tuscadero, punkā€™n, or any other color you wonā€™t find on a generic sedan
You God damn right...

And I would have gotten Chief instead of Hydro Blue if it was still available...

I'd even drive Tuscadero over any grey scale "color".

I kinda like this format

3.0T > 2.0T > 3.6
2dr < 4dr
Happy > Sad
Trail > Mall
17ā€ > 18+ā€
MT < AT
Auto > Stick
SOT > Hard top > Soft top
Rubicon > All others (sell a testicle on the black market if you have to)
Skittles < 50 shades of grey
Ducks > No Ducks
Wave > No Wave

I like the white/grey/black because then you can get cool colored wheels

This is how I draw the line as well. Although Iā€™m always a little bummed when a local trail Jeep goes out and gets the grumpy grill
As a person who voted mall crawler, let me explain why...

I'm from the city. I grew up near Chicago and now live in downtown Milwaukee. I'd like to throw on some Rubicon takeoffs when the need arrives, but right now that money is budgeted elsewhere. I'll drive over the random curb or medium... maybe even cut through the grass if nobody is looking... but there is no need for anything more than stock... moreover, I'm not a truck person. I wanted a convertible. I needed an SUV, and I live in the north... Wrangler combines all needs. I feel like I would look like a douche bag if I added anything more than Rubicon wheels because it's unnecessary for my needs. The fact that it has off road capabilities is a bonus... most likely a rarely used bonus.

This is not to squabble with your answer... I take no offense.

Would you accept natural aluminum wheels? I agree that chrome sucks but I prefer a natural aluminum wheel (At least the rings) over black because they do not show the rock rash until you get right up on them.
