Look through the documents.

I'm a bit confused, I thought at the beginning of the month when '23 orders started the dealerships said there were no big noticeable changes to the '23, but I still see threads pop up and continue that discuss big changes for '23. Is there still a possibility of a refresh even after '23 ordering has started? Or maybe a mid-year refresh? Am I missing something? Seems like Jeep is having trouble keeping up with orders as it is, why would they refresh something if they don't need to at this point?

Am I reading it right, the manual transmission is no longer an option for the Sahara?

Refresh won't happen until 2024-5, most likely. Maybe some options, colors, and standard small changes will come. A special edition or two, but the design won't change. Order guides and banks are out and open. I wouldn't expect anything other than maybe the 20th anniversary edition Rubicon now and maybe some colors.

I find it interesting that the Gorilla Glass has gone back down to $295 MSRP.

Looking at the 2-door Rubi only (might apply to others):

- Normal wheels that we have now seem to be the same, no updated uglyass inverse wheels
- 4:1 Rock-Track is going up $100
- Advanced Safety going up $50
- Body colored flares going up $100
- Cold weather group going up $350 (without DEM, whatever that is)
- Safety Group (non advanced) going up $50
- Leather seats going up $400
- High Velocity is still a color (please die)
- 17.5 gal fuel tank (question I had)

Not seeing many other changes than that for the 2-door Rubi only.

No, no, and no.

So why do those threads keep poppingup?

Because hope springs eternal and folks have trouble critically evaluating information sources. Once a couple people have (with no basis or real source of information) said that they're sure some kind of refresh will happen, other folks start repeating it, others see and cite those posts, and the rumor becomes its own source.

Even though I ordered it, based on the threads that keep coming up, and the common misunderstanding of the additional warranty that it doesn't actually carry when installed from the factory, I wouldn't order that.

DEM is the 6 speed manual. Cold weather group includes remote start, which is incompatible with the manual transmission. So if you get the manual, you only get heated seats and steering wheel, without remote start, but at reduced cost.

(Source, I ordered both those options on my JLU)

Two observations.

1. Auto transmission with 3.6L is now a $4,000 MSRP option! Wow. Wasn't it only $1,950 two years ago.?
2. Appears that you can order 4.88 gears with 3.6L with either manual or auto... but only for the rear diff!

Jeep Wrangler JL 2023 Jeep Wrangler Order Guides (2-door JL and 4-door JLU) - Updated Monthly Screen Shot 2022-06-23 at 10.15.46 AM
It's that much because the 3.6 you're looking at has E-TQ. I don't seen an option for the non-E-TQ and an Auto, however.

The guide only lists a ratio change for rear diffs. The rear diff order will dictate the front axle ratio. They have to be the same, of course.

They only have to be the same if you're weird and don't like playing driveline roulette.
