JL Wrangler **Base Model Club**

All JL models should include one "spare wheel locking lug nut" according to Jeep's website under standard features and other posts. This locking lug nut should be pre-installed at the factory with the key in the glove box.

The mopar locking wheel set (82215711) includes 5 nuts, so the dealer would most likely replace the included spare wheel nut with a new one so the key matches all 5 nuts. This is up to the dealer. Some may install them upon delivery and add it to the cost. I suppose you can negotiate them into the price. They are only $50 for the set.

Called my dealer and they said it doesn't come with even 1 spare wheel locking lug nut. They have been pretty misinformed up to this point so idk...

Well it’s listed under standard features on Jeep’s website. Others in this forum have received it as well. I guess it’s like the owner’s manuals. Some are receiving it, others are not. Call FCA and ask. Tell them it’s listed as a standard feature. Maybe they will ship you one.

Maybe one day i'll get my JL. been in KZ for 58ish days i believe now. if i get it or if i don't i'll be insane either way.

I think I got the first base model Punk'n made. I debated getting a higher trim level for a long time but now that I've taken delivery I have zero regrets. See pics:

Awesome. Punk'n is now behind Ocean Blue for me, but who knows, I could revert by the time I order...

As much as I got a $13,000 raise at work, I still didn't take that as a "sign from god" to just get a Rubicon.

I want base. Not even Sport S. Crank windows here I come!

Congrats on the raise. Save it for a rainy day (or mods ). It's hard to explain but everything-manual has a certain charm only the Wrangler can pull off. I love it!

Absolutely. Having no electrics in the doors will also be lighter, and one less clip to remove when I throw half tube doors on.

honestly, I'll probably film a 0 60 video with a no doors, no backseat stripped out 6MT JL! See if she can crack 6.0 seconds.

I saw a base Sport JLU in granite yesterday. Love the way it looked. I still like the black steel wheels way more than the "S" choices.

A bunch of people have told me that which kinda surprised me. The good thing is virtually all the JK wheels also fit the JL so there are lots to choose from. I got a deal on these JK Rubicon Recon wheels:

That's what I thought, but there is still a wiring harness to remove. Probably needed for the door switches, but based on the number of wires, looks like a full harness. I may just tuck the harness inside the door and not worry about the door switches.

I have manual locks and windows too but that’s not a big deal, I’ve only locked myself out once.

I do occasionally get jealous looking at my husbands JLUR but I’m happy with mine as it’s much better than my last mom car.
