There are gonna be a lot of knicked up fendered JLs. I’ve only put 1500 miles on mine and already have a handful of pock marks on the rear flares. The film only covers part of the affected area. The film also looks like crap where dirts gets under the edge. Seems like a design flaw, but at least I won’t be the only one.

This is why I pulled mine (contrary to this thread's name) and recovered it completely with thicker clear bra that covers it completely. I also covered the front of my hinges. I have done some nice running on gravel roads and my red fenders are lookin' fine.

Hmm. I don't have any mylar on the Rubicon I picked up this weekend.

Is it possible my dealer removed it during their PDI? Jeez.

I think it’s only for painted flares

Along with the pre cut paint protection film we make for the door hinges we will be making pre cut ppf for rear flares along with a lot of other parts to protect from rock chips!

R 3 is the name of the company. They are a forum sponsor. I have their door hinge paint protective film offering. Anyway, their offerings are very good. Also, excellent customer service.

Any ETA as to when these will be available? I'm waiting to see if you will have a bundle type package for the window sills, hinges and fender protection kit.
