Jeep Wrangler JL Off road questions Rubicon

I have a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon. I read the manual but still am a bit lost as to the options in the picture. I know about 4-lo
What is the red switch? Is that to disconnect the sway bar? and if it is then what is the sway bar/off road button.

Also when people flex their jeep (park one wheel up on a lift) what set up do they use? Do you disconnect the sway bar for that?

Thanks :)
I've had a jeep for years but this one has a lot of bells and whistles that my old manual crank windows jeep didn't have.

Red buttons are for engaging your lockers….either rear only or both front and rear. The furthest button on the left is to disengage them. The sway bar button is for disconnecting and reconnecting your sway bar.

Disconnecting the swaybar will get you more flex..

Engaging both lockers is awesome for crawling over ALL the things…..but with the front engaged turning the wheels will be more difficult.

Definitely reread the manual, it explains a lot. Also search for YouTube video, I am sure there are videos out there doing a walkthrough. If getting ready to go off-road study up, middle of the trail is no where to educate yourself on the features you have in your rig

The offroad + button will change vehicle tuning. In 4H, it will set the engine/throttle/traction control up for higher speed/sand/dune running. In 4L, off road + optimizes all those things for low-speed crawling.

Pretty much what I stated. Somehow it amused you. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Off-Road Plus button if used in 4 high range will automatically adjust options for traversing sand. If used in 4 low range, it will automatically adjust options for rock crawling.
lmao, of course as soon as I post your post shows up, was excited there was a button someone hadn't mentioned lol

Keep in mind that OR+ does two completely different things depending on whether you're in 4Hi or 4Lo.

In 4Hi, OR+ is basically a Sand Mode button. Makes the throttle more sensitive and holds gears longer.

In 4Lo, OR+ does the opposite by dramatically softening throttle response for rock crawling.

I actually don't like OR+ in 4Lo, even when crawling. It makes the throttle feel very unintuitive. OR+ is very impressive in the sand. Very. I use it a lot.

Let's see what the manual states about Off-Road +

When activated, Off Road+ is designed to improve

the user experience when using specific Off Road

driving modes. To activate Off Road+, push the

OFF ROAD+ switch in the switch bank. The

vehicle’s performance will improve depending on

which Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) mode is activated.

NOTE:

Off Road+ will not function in 2H mode. If the

button is pushed while in 2H mode, the cluster

display will show the message “Off Road+

Unavailable Shift to 4WD”.

When Off Road+ is active, the following features

will activate:

The Off Road+ telltale will illuminate in the

instrument cluster display

A mode-specific message will display the instrument

cluster display

Off-Road Pages will launch on the radio

head-unit if selected in radio settings

The Off-Road Camera will launch if selected in

radio settings

Once in Off Road+, the vehicle will begin to behave

in different ways depending on the 4WD mode in

use. The following enhancements will occur when

using Off Road+.

4L

Engine/Transmission Calibration: Rock Crawl

and controllability focus, change in shifting

schedule when rock crawling, pedal calibration

shifted to de-gain and low range, operates at

lower vehicle speeds

Traction Control: Aggressive brake lock differential

tuning at slower speed or FIRST gear

Off Road+: Recall the last status between ignition

cycles

4H

Engine/Transmission Calibration: Improved

sand performance/wheel slip focus, change in

shift schedule for sport mode, pedal calibration

set to aggressive, operates at elevated vehicle

speeds

Traction Control: High wheel speed, slip tuning

brake lock differential with no engine management

Electronic Stability Control: ESC Off with unlimited

speed

Off Road+: Will default to OFF between ignition

cycles

Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

will not function while using Off Road+. A dedicated

cluster message will display indicating this if either

feature is activated while in Off Road+.

If the ESC OFF button is pushed while in Off Road+,

the following will occur on the vehicle:

Push of the ESC OFF Button: Traction Control

will turn off, but Stability Control will remain

active.

Hold the ESC OFF Button for five seconds: Traction

Control and Stability Control will turn off

I believe that

my summary

is better and more

intuitive than what the

manual provides.

So what if I'm plowed in with snow (I've had that happen) my old jeep got stuck (stock with no extras at all. Didn't even have power anything) I tried 4H and 4L and couldn't get out.
I'm assuming that will not happen with this one but what set up would work best for snow?

And what actually do the lockers do?

And I hope my questions don't seem too stupid.
