lift noob here- I just had a jeep shop install a 2.5 RK lift with the “no limits” sway bar link on my JLUR. The passenger’s side looks different from the driver’s. Are the links supposed to be misaligned with the sway bar connected and no flex happening? Is this normal?

Your front axle is not centered under your jeep.

Just rotate the whole thing back straight, its just heim joints its going to move around like that, heims are going same direction you never want them opposite directions, then they wont move. Nothing wrong with what you got there

The stock links are offset because the two mounting points aren't perfectly vertical. The front offsets in, the rear offsets out. Since the RK is straight, it makes up for that difference in the joint.

As @Moto_21 mentions, the rotation looks like it's just the heims both rotating the same direction.

Perfectly fine, they do that, can’t be helped. It was hard for me to get used to it, but I did, lol …… way worth it when disconnected. With these links there’s no difference between hooked and unhooked. .……..

I hear what you are saying on that as far has the heims go, but doesn't it look like the axle is a bit too far to the passenger side?

I've been running those swaybar links for 3 years now, and they've never stayed aligned. I've yet to encounter any issues when offroading or on the highway.

They're strong joints.... just tend to set off my ocd at times :)

I'd say pay attention to your Jeeps handling, etc. If you notice significant changes, then something is off. Otherwise, give the Jeep a once over every now and then, checking for changes. I'll bet you don't notice many changes with these over time :)

Park on a fairly flat surface and measure from tire outer edge to the fender on both sides. Should be within 3/8 inch or so. I use a 2*4 up against the tire to measure but anything long and straight works.

If not you need to adjust the track-bar to center the axle.

Both links are angled out towards the tires on axle end, if axle was really off, one side would be pulled in further than the other. Doesnt look like it is to me

Thanks for the replies. I didn’t know the joints were designed to move like that, but it does make sense. It will test my ocd as well!

not sure if this helps, but I took a front pic in the parking lot. I’ll take a few measurements later.

Those springs look pretty wonky in the pics. Are the lower pads in correctly?
