I wasn’t suggesting it would be exactly the same, other systems like the corvette open differently to reveal the storage. Doubtful it would slide up, but it might tilt down or flip up&out or something.

Still get the feeling (or hope) that the Infotainment / HeadUnit opens for ‘hidden’ storage. It just seems so detached and incongruous from the rest of the dash, that it seems to hint at some hidden feature.

Likely less automated, but hopefully more storage for things like wallets or phones, although, one would think they would have put their iPhone in there if it was an option... but they also didn’t use the USBs... SOoo....

That'd be cool, but would we not see that in the manual?

Great photos. The tan interior is terrible. Heritage is the way to go.

The order guide lists the tan as heritage tan so I think they are one in the same. The current JK has dark saddle as the other leather choice, but it looks like Jeep went with a light tan for the JL launch. At least it is listed as black/ heritage tan, so I'm hoping the interior isn't 100% tan like the renderings in the manual, instead just about everything would be black, but with the tan seats. Maybe the lower half of the dash in tan, and the armrest as well. I'm also hoping the Rubicon stitching on the headrest is black instead of red on the tan. Hopefully another pic is found that shows what black/ heritage tan looks like overall.

You mean my 8 yr old's library which currently travels in the footwell of the passenger seat of my TJ won't just move to the back footwell? It will have a home?? Amazing

As an aside, it's a (beloved) 2005 TJ. Guess how many times I've reminded said 8 yr old that, yep, books on the floor (roof on, windows up) are gonna get wet?

Do you guys think the dash in all Rubicon's will be this Red?

I really like the red dash! It'll go nicely with red tow hooks, red stitching, red "Rubicon" badge in the seats and the red lettering around the "Rubicon" logo on the hood. I think the Sahara/Sport will get an aluminum dash as shown in the manuals. I'm sure it can be changed out easily with aftermarket parts for anyone who doesn't really like it.

Where do you see the red tow hooks, stitching, and trim around the logo?

I know that was something they did for the recon edition. Now if they do a JLU Recon, I agree, the red dash would look fantastic as long as it matches.

Not so sure it is red. I think it might be the burnt orange of the jeep on the manual. The seats look like gre cloth

I do not know what this light is, but at the bottom it is sewn in red.
