Dealer put "Anything less than a 10 on the survey is failing" on my Invoice.. How about delivering service that warrants a 10?

The only praise I had at my dealership was the finance guy, lol. He got 10's across the board.

Haha that is the way it goes right? Most people probably fall in the middle but one bad experience and don't like any of them!

Almost like engines, one guy has bad experience and yells from the mountain top the other million have no problems at all.

Seattle is terrible market for buying and servicing cars. You are better off buying out of state and servicing through reputable specialists. Getting warranty work done forces you to go through the dealer though. i have Rairdon stories too and avoid them.

OP, your photo has your Jeep in front of Mule. Have you had them do any work? Curious of your thoughts on their work.

I have never met a finance guy I ever left the dealer thinking "that was cool". Total assholes and time share salesmen. Maybe they work on new people buying cars but as soon as I sit down it is "No, No and No thanks."
Yeah I hate the finance part of the deal. When I bought my Jeep the Finance guy told me if I touched "anything" on my Jeep the entire warranty was void. I told him he was wrong and then asked if I changed out my 12 volt battery would it void my entire warranty. He said yes. Of course he was trying to sell me some kind of BS extended warranty. Not the Jeep one.

My experience with both a 2017 Ram, and my current Jeep:
Seattle CDJR has been serviceable for my very minor issues. The rear window on my truck had a bad defroster element. First attempted fix was a bust as it was scheduled on a day their glass vendor wasn’t there. Rescheduled and they got it done the second time. Also had a tailgate recall fixed pretty quickly. Tried an “express” oil change by getting there at the opening bell, but there was nothing express about it…
for the Jeep they quickly pulled the codes when I dropped in with no appointment and ordered a replacement gas cap.

again all of these were pretty simple, and i really prefer to do things my self.

now compared to Lexus, picked up some brake pads and the service manager was chatting me up and in total seriousness says if I dont all ready have a place to turn the rotors to bring em by and he would get em done for me. No idea what he would have charged, but I appreciated the no BS let me know what we can do to help you attitude

I know I have 3 free oil changes, but not sure the hassle will be worth it, though I think they are better than the Kirkland place…

Finance guys get the hint from very quickly, when i tell them i self insure "well that $2K you want to charge me can go towards the 1st big bill"

financially i am more qualified than them anyway with 2 Professional Qualification in Banking and Accountancy so boo them off very quickly

When I walked in (To buy my 2020) the guy had these old broken radios laying around and talking about tech he had no idea about. I am in IT and have been for 2 decades and not some old programmer but actual IT and I was like really? Worst case I buy a 8.4 off ebay. I can buy a good long term warranty after I buy.

I will say with current dealer, who is new to me the guy was pretty cool and told me to expect 6 months for delivery. The biggest thing I suspect they hate is I have Navy Federal CU and they are going to be hard at work to beat. 2.29 for 72 or 1.7 for 60 months.

Yeah part of my deal was I had to finance with them for 6 months. Rate was high but I knew that it would be. I don't mind someone trying to sell me something but once you lie to me I get pretty defensive. I did bite my tongue a little because the prices had gone up a ton from the time I ordered and I knew they would of been happy if I walked. Still it kind of took what was a pretty good experience to kind of yeah whatever one.

When I bought my 4xe, my sales rep also mentioned the “anything less than a ten is failing” bit.

I can understand why dealerships disclose that - it’s probably some kind of internal Jeep sales and marketing benchmark that helps with allocation and bonuses. But I also found it a little off putting.

Would have preferred a “don’t forget to rate us a ten if you enjoyed our sales experience!” That’s much more benign.

Also, sales and service are two entirely different departments. With my luck, I’ve had some pretty horrible service experiences at my nearest dealer. As a matter of principle, my 4xe gets serviced twenty miles out of the way, and was purchased as an out of state factory order.

Oh, one last thing - Ferrari is an independent company. It has it’s own public stock.

Yeah, these surveys with a 10 being a pass are a fail.……..for everyone. My dealer said the same to me. I didn’t bother filling it out because I didn’t want to burn any bridges with them because they earned a 2 in my mind. Only reason Id go to them at this point is for warranty work.
They failed to diagnose the all too common trak Lok clunk coming from the rear of the Jeep. Come on, can’t hear that clunk? You guys are idiots.

When I bring in my Infiniti or Toyota for service it’s the exact opposite experience. ……..and they charge the same hourly rate!

As long as you tell them you won't be buying an extended warranty, service plan, or protection plan up front, the finance guys have been fine, in my experience. Either that, or just politely say "no thank you" when they put that stuff in front of you. You can't waver or show weakness. That's when they pounce.

I picked up my Jeep the other day, and prominently displayed on my invoice was the following: ...
Seems there are systemic issues all around.
I would give them a 1 to spite them. And send a copy to Jeep.

Sounds like a typical dealer to me... sorry for your troubles. However you mention this:

ESS still isn’t working. I checked the single lead for my audio equipment with a Fluke amp clamp to see if there was any fantom draw from it, there was none. I went ahead and disconnected it from the battery anyway.
What model Fluke is that? I didn't know Fluke had meters that could read DC Amp draw, though they were for AC only. Love to know what model you have.

Thanks!

My sales guy and finance guy were both solid. But the policies of the dealership were less desirable (dealer add-ons for $2K that included tint, wheel locks and lo-jack). When I saw their ad and price on a Facebook ad, those weren't mentioned. But their price even with those were better than I was finding anywhere else. I was obviously not thrilled after driving about and hour to close the deal after calling, they confirmed the price and let me know that I would have to finance through them.
MSRP with their add-ons was $62K and the drive out ended up being $56K (really $53K with my $3K trade in). I would have wanted wheel locks and tint anyway and I actually like the lo-jack. I can monitor my battery voltage from the app, which is nice to have when you are dealing with the ESS battery.

But here's the kicker. My sales guy threw in a free Mopar hardtop headliner for a perfect review. That made it worth my while. And I refinanced to Navy Federal after 1 payment and NFCU paid me $300 to refinance through them. It all worked out.
