Aldo you need to read before you type. All i said is that you have your own issues with your mpgs. And you know you do. Then i went along to tel him about 35’s on 3.45.
Excuse me but you are the second New Yorker with poop attitude in two days. Make sure you eat your Fruit Loop for breakfast. My bad New Yorkers do brunch. Eat your poached egg might help your day and attitude.

@aldo98229 has reported a significant drop in mpg since he moved to 35 tires. Have you seen anything similar?
I dropped 1-2mpg. I get 18 highway and 16 city. I see 7th gear consistently and I can hit 8th gear if I’m under 72mph. I live in NJ so not alot of hilly roads you can say. I’ve noticed this year the winter blend fuel is crappy or at least the last couple tanks have been. I’ve been getting 15 city and 17 highway.

Edit: I am running a hikeit throttle controller. Maybe that helps with MPG and trans?

Pretty much the same here (JLU Sport, 33" KO2, V6, 8-speed). I'm between 20 and 21 highway, I don't do much city driving.

This is what my Sahara looked like with a Mopar 2-inch lift and 33-inch tires. It looked terrible!

If you don’t want to replace tires yet, I’d say hold off doing the lift.
Pardon, in advance, I don't understand lifting, aledgedly for greater articulation over obstacles: I'm told, then fill up the space you just spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars to make, with big fat tires????Doesn't compute

The lift enables the bigger tires.

A lift only raises the frame/body. You could put a 6" lift on there but if you're still running 32s, your axles are at the same height they were before.

You need bigger tires to raise the axles (and differentials, etc). To fit those bigger tires, you need a lift.

Also, too big of a lift and your little bitty baby tires will look stupid. So you need to balance it out.

You're missing a couple of points-
1. You have to life enough so that the larger tires still clear when fully articlated.
2. Larger tires are the only way to gain ground clearance between the axle and the ground.
3. Larger tires plus larger wheels give more ground clearance in the middle of the vehicle, where you would drag going over larger obstacles.

The whole point of lifting is to fit larger tires. The larger tires are what give you added clearance.

What is the total height of your Jeep? I'm looking at adding the Mopar lift with 35s, but I want to make sure it still fits in my garage!

It fits through my standard height 7-feet garage doors, with a few inches to spare.

Thanks again for for this useful picture. I had one inch of room to spare with my Sahara 2" Mopar lift on 35's!
You are welcome.

If you just got the lift, it will settle down a little over next few weeks.

This looks really good! Are you still running this setup? Would you do that size again or go larger tires? Looks great from this shot…
Some days I think, man I wish I had 35s. The rest of the time I am happy with the 33s . For daily driving and the fire tower roads I travel and explore they work great and I have no complaints. When the time comes for new tires I may take a look at 295/70.

Yeah, Wranglers’ sweet spot is tires that are 33-34 inch tall, 10.5-11.5 inches wide. That’s where they are most happy in my experience.

While 35x12.5 tires turn the Jeep into a beast on the trail, the on-road handling starts to become lumbering, the ride deteriorates, and fuel economy goes out the window.
