The problem is that I need to shift it while sitting in the garage in order to get OUT of the garage without slippin' and slidin' once I start getting out. There can often be a pile of blown snow up with ice underneath against the garage door.If you have room, try it at about 3 mph. You may have to get as far into the back of the garage as possible and creep forward into the snow.
It is much harder to shift it into 4H when standing still. Is it REALLY that hard to shift the lever from 2H to 4H??? I've pulled with every bit of strength I have..and no, I'm not a weakling! I have a slightly used 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. What the hell is the solution?? I've got snow and ice here I need to get through in and out my garage.

1. Put it in Drive
2. Drive anywhere between 0-40 MPH.or Roll it out of the garage like 3 feet
3.Nudge that lever to 4H it will easily pop in place .

Well damn. Yup, I'm 5'3" but not weak in strength. I've got to find a way as I badly need 4H since I live with snow and ice.Yes mine was EXTREMELY difficult initially too. I mean like full force both arms pulling with legs braced and pushing me into the seat kinda hard, and i'm a 6'2" 200lbs outdoorsy type so if it was that hard for me, I can definitely see a smaller person being unable to do it.
I may have to call a neighbor. This is so irritating. I've driven a stick shift before and it was never like this, frozen as if in cement. I bought this jeep with only 6000 miles on it. But...it was located in Florida, and I'm in a snow and ice state. Will loosen up the more you use it. Do you have anyone who can help you pull back on the transfer case shifter?
Have you tried tugging hard with both hands? It will come.I may have to call a neighbor. This is so irritating. I've driven a stick shift before and it was never like this, frozen as if in cement. Dumb question but does your transfer case shifter look like this? Could you already be in 4H AUTO?Yup and with a crowbar, a 250 lb weight lifter, and a stick of dynamite. It's ridiculous how TIGHT it is.
