Hi there!

I just got my Rubicon and looking for a 392 Xtreme Recon Wheels Bronze, please let me know if you would like to sell your Xtreme Recon Wheels Bronze. I can't find it in Mopar and have to try my luck here! I am located in SoCal and willing to do local pick up.

Keep in mind the xr wheels aren't nearly as bronze as that picture makes them look

Those are stock 392 wheels. The part numbers are on here somewhere.

I don’t think this is accurate. Those are 392 XR wheels. Stock 392 look like this.

That looks like the same wheel, just different lighting. The 392 has bronze accents (tow hooks, lettering, mystical tailgate data plate), the XR doesn't.



I went through a whole process of ordering 392 wheels only for the non bronze ones to show up (this was before the XR was announced)

I will say though, I honestly don't know what wheels the 392 XR (bronze or otherwise) gets as I gave up the whole business of trying to get them after the above debacle and just got some bronze Fuel Blocks.

Edit: That is definitely a 392 XR in OPs picture though, so I guess they do keep bronze with the 392 XR and not with normal XR.

Those are stock 392 wheels

The non xr 392 wheel spokes are shaped very differently than that.

Note the extra geometry in the non xr wheels..

Jeep normally calls that color smoke bronze. It’s in between bronze and charcoal.

Mopar offers a wheel of similar design but in charcoal and machined finish. It costs a lot less and should be easier to find. Part No. 77072494AB.

Personally I like this wheel a lot better; it doesn’t have the bead locks.

To my knowledge, that wheel was never standard on any Wrangler or Gladiator model. Mopar has been offering it as an “accessory” wheel in its catalog for customers who wanted to upgrade wheels at the dealership.

It’s a great-looking wheel IMO. And barely anyone knows about it.

Mopar says it is a 17 x 8.5in. x 12mm offset, which works out to 4.83 inches of backspacing.

You need 5.2 inches of backspacing, or less, to clear 12.5-inch wide tires on JL. So it should work.

You can run a +25, 5.71 back spaced wheel on your JL. I run AEV wheels with that spec and it helps to keep the tire under the fender. A +12 sticks out more than this...

Yes my 12.5 tires sling road crud on the body. +12 = worse slinging
