I noticed a slight squeaking noise from one of my rear Mopar Fox 2.5 shocks. Upon compression/decompression it makes a slight squeak, and also when I shake the shock I can hear a very slight sloshing liquid inside. There are no visible leaks and the shock appears to compress/decompresses just fine.

Has anyone here had an experience with the Fox rebuild process on the Mopar 2.5 shocks?

Wont be any different than a 2.0 non resi rebuild, just get correct oil volume and ifp depth

No, unfortunately I don't have any experience with rebuilding shocks and I don't have the tools to do so either. But I would if I had the knowledge and tools.

Arenā€™t the Mopar shocks all 2.0ā€™s?

itā€™s a trick question, he said Mopar shocks, not Mopar Fox shocksā€¦.šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…
Hmmm. Will Fox even rebuild these? Shouldnā€™t it go through Mopar for the performance parts warranty?

Another complicated questionā€¦ lol, fox makes the 2.5s exclusively for Mopar lift , canā€™t buy them off the shelf( or at least thatā€™s how it used to be) so is it a Mopar shock, or a fox shock made for Mopar ??šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Itā€™s a weird in-between spot where they still allow the Fox name to be on the shocks, but I am fairly sure itā€™s 100% treated as a Mopar warranty. Now, you may be able to pay fox to fix them, but why bother if you can warranty out a single shock?

Given that they have Mopar part numbers, I would treat them as any other Mopar part and warranty it through the dealer.

My shocks are unfortunately out of the 12 month MFG. warranty as well.

These shocks are older than 24 months, I am the second owner as well and do not have the original receipt.
