Just installed the Next Venture Motorsports aluminum front bumper.
I chose to keep it bare.

Question what light bracket are you using for the fairlead? Also what about a front license plate doesn't Colorado require it?

Great confirmation.

just a thought, I would still go with the frame tie in brackets for 2 reasons:
-the LOD brackets are a lot beefier & better connection to the actual frame.
-the LOD brackets give you a loop for connecting the safety chains / cables.

just my 2 cents.

I think it’s just a cheap rough country bracket. They require it, I just don’t care. Lol

MP Concepts Forged Aluminum JL Wrangler Bumper Thoughts on Wrangler

^ after watching this video review of the MP Concepts, I'm very hesitant. It appears to scratch very easily and the holes in the bumper around the fairlead is unacceptable.

For me, it looks like I'll need to research the Rockhard and Quadratec Brute Strength aluminum bumpers.

Waiting delivery of my Rubicon. I’ve got the Rival stubby rear and Rock Hard 3/4 front to go onto it.

MP Concepts here. I like it, it looks like the Mopar steel and very light weight.

Another MP Concepts buyer here, no issues with installation. Perfectly happy with it.

Old thread, but metal fatigue is a slow process, so I thought this would still be worthwhile information for you.

That bracket is only on one side. The LOD bracket fits on the other side and picks up 2 bolts. This makes your bumper worthy of being towed from or recovered from, IMO. They're cheap and easy to install. Get em.

Do not get the gen right bumper!!!
You will hate yourself!!!
Consider those 80% fabrication parts.

They don’t line up at all, making contact with body tub on both side. And PITA to install, lots of grinding hammering and profanity. Also back up sensor wire will pinching on body making it not working.

Avoid them if you still enjoy life.

It was a royal PITA installing the front too.

That sucks. Genright gear has always been on my “one of these days” list. Like after the essentials are done, the crowning piece would be genright front and rear to drop weight. Oh well.

Evo used to make their quarter pounder in aluminum. That bumper is a beautiful hunk of metal, but the steel version (plus stinger and warn Zeon) dropped the front of my last jeep like crazy. Wish they’d bring the aluminum back. In the meantime, I’ll stick with the OEM steely. First jeep had it and after I swapped it for the Evo, kind of appreciated the OEM more.
