Where is the best place to order the Mopar 68322798AA lower control arms? I read several pages back allmomparparts.com and code FS2020 for free shipping. That code doesn't work anymore. Is there a new code for free shipping or a better place to order?

I just called two of the local dealerships and ended up paying $90, plus they were in stock that day.

I just completed this install and there's definitely a driving improvement. I have a JLU Sport S with Rubicon take off suspension (springs and shocks).

I bought a $100 Ryobi 1/2 impact wrench to remove the LCA bolts. Then also picked up a $50 Husky torque wrench that went up to 250 ft lbs @ Home Depot. Ended up putting the front axel on jack stands and removing the tires to retorque the bolts. 190 ft pounds is no joke without the proper space under the Jeep.

Went for a short driving on the freeway at 75 mph after the install and the jeep definitely stays straighter now. I had a right pull before the install and now the pull is less pronounced. Will probably go for an alignment later to see what my caster is at and hopefully get rid of the pull completely.

Overall definitely recommend everyone try this out. Helped a lot.

Sounds like a good install, but keep in mind the suspension should be loaded when torquing down those LCAs.

I'm pretty sure that when the front axel is sitting on jack stands the suspension is still loaded. The Jeep is still resting on it's springs. Should be the same as if it was sitting on its tires. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Sorry, when I read jackstands I didn't include the axle in my comprehension, carry on, lol :)

Thanks for thread! I'm just curious, has anyone found it necessary to change out the rear LCA as well? seems like the rear would have the same issue as the front.

Not really necessary. The reason it matters on the front is because it corrects the caster angle and restores the steering characteristics. The rear doesn't steer so it doesn't matter.

I have a new XR and noticed a little wandering when on narrow back roads that weren’t perfectly smooth. And under hard braking it felt a little unstable. I swapped to these longer Mopar LCAs and it’s noticeably better. Hard braking is stable, and the Jeep drives so much better. I highly recommend it.

@Vrrooom was just talking with another Forum member and we were curious if the Xtreme Recon came with the longer Mopar LCAs automatically or possibly Jeep introduced something even longer for the XR due to the extra lift and larger tires. Based on your comments and photos looks like the XR factory LCAs are the same as a stock Rubicon. Such a shame Jeep hasn't invested or corrected this on stock Rubicons as well as the XR packages. We have all noticed such dramatic difference on the Rubicons going to these longer Mopar LCAs on correcting caster. Think how many people don't follow the forums or have any knowledge to know such a cheap and relatively easy job can make such a difference in their Jeep driving experience.

Yeah, it's so bizarre that they let this debacle continue since they have part bins full of the longer LCAs, c'mon FCA, get a clue!!!

Yeah I was surprised. I checked the part number on my factory arms and they matched the stock Rubicon LCA. I only went with the Mopar because they’re indistinguishable to a dealer and right now my Jeep is all ‘stock’. But a noticeable improvement for sure.

This and the Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace along with fox shocks are my mods. Keeping it as close to stock as possible with minor improvements.
